A petition system wouldn't work simply cause there are some people that are just too hated by entire groups.

Anyway, if people do actually hate others on this site that's pretty absurd seeing as tough only a handfull have met each other in person. I would think that if there is legitimate hatred for others going on here then some people here are in desperate need of an appointment with a psychiatrist.
Was just a word. Doesn't change the concept behind it.
I don't know. That word does have a pretty heavy connotation. I will say that there are some really overly sensitive and paranoid people here. Pretty bizarre seeing it from guys.

How does the setting change that everyone on this board is a person? Emotions aren't regulated only to face-to-face encounters.

Have you guys (mods) tried a warning system that passes warnings to people who are violating ToS, delete the post that violates it, and tell them they will be temp banned for a month if another similar incident occurs (during the same month or 3 month period etc).
Or have you guys just been throwing temp/perm bans out on people that violate it?
I know locking a topic and slapping a ban on people is easier than going through all the previous steps.
I'm just wondering why this is so controversial or such a large issue.

Depends on the issue I would think. I got a temp ban without any warning a couple months back. I had no previous warnings or issues.
I'm sure it's case by case.

I disagree with your interpretation of emotion. I disagree with a lot of the things you say, most of them seem incredibly close-minded and hasty in either the thought process that lead to them or the assumptions that you make on people, oftentimes using snide remarks or other like argumentative phrases to start a fight. Awfully catty, that.
People can only judge on their personal life experiences.

I'll be the first to admit I do get into catty moods sometimes when provoked. I can see how I come off cold or insensitive to others, but for the most part it's not my initial intention. I do believe this would this be the first time we've spoken directly to each other.

Yup it is, just personal observation. You're not always provoked into it, but I digress that isn't the purpose of this thread and I apologize for putting it off topic.

There is a 3 strike system in place. Warning > Temp Ban > Perma Ban. PMs are always sent for warnings and bans.

I don't know why everyone keeps trying to fight the system. Unless you are an admin or mod of this website you don't know whats best for FFXIAH period.
You can make personal vendettas all you want against people like Krizz but if you sank down to the low level of the troll whos baiting you than you deserve to be topic banned just as equally.
If you stated the sky is blue... as well as the reason... you shouldn't even need to come back to that thread period. If someone wants to try and troll or argue the facts let them dig their own hole of failure. Unless someone provides a scientific result or reason to why it WOULDN'T be blue... then you can discuss and debate maturely like adults.

This whole taking the "thread locking/ Topic banning" thing public is not constructive at all
If you have an idea or a concern PM a mod. This is just fuel for nerd rage
I am pretty sure when the mods get enough feedback from the community then they will consider the "possible" changes and communicate it back to us
