News to me I guess as far as I knew they were released on all platforms at the same time, gamerescape/wikia has it as April 18, 2006 wikipedia didn't have a hard date for the expansion (360 launch set as the 18th on there though).

i see RoZ CoP and ToA on there if u like i can show you pictures of ToA release ps2 standalone pc Standalone 360 ffxi came out when Vanadiel collection 2007 hit shelves so was after ToA stand alone release so the picture does show that ToA is part of the 360 compilation disc but please show me a copy of 360 ToA standalone like he claimed to have been given and ill believe him

i remember gamestop trying to pull some dumb ***like this to me before. i was going to buy way of the samurai 3 for ps3. and the chick that was working the register gets a plastic white sleeve and put the game within the sleeve and hands me the book talking about "its still new" im standing there looking at her like "wtf!? o.O..." i ended up getting it elsewhere even tho it was pretty hard to find.
gamestop is very *** grimy on the way they do business, they sell new games (or claims to be new) out of the original factory sealed packaging at full price ($60 +tax, most games) and they sell the same used game for 50$ +tax in the original case it was sealed in. god forbid i enter gamestop with a *** white sleeve game and try to sell it, they'll either wont take it or try to con me into selling it for a really reduced price for the missing case, bastereds... i'll NEVER buy from that store again.

But just out of curiousity if the game has not been played. it is still new. So why complain. Do you protest your local car dealership because the New car you bought didnt have 000000 miles on it and someone test drop it so it was not in factory sealed condition ? if the game is scratched yea take it back get ur money back. but it is thier last copy put in a protective sleave ? then u have choice to buy or not buy. not buy then *** that you bought it

comparing a vehicle to a game disk..? wow, that makes little sense, but anywhoooo its different because for 1 you cant resale x game back to the store without the original case that goes for any other game store as well (and for those ebay people, you’ll get more money for selling it in its case then selling it in a white sleeve garneted.) why pay for a game full price and get half ***?, ***i want the case too not some bootleg 99cent sleeve? in a better compression its like buying a unbinded book (just pages) for the same price as buying it whole and together >.>;

inbefore: “well people buy digital copies for same full price as if it was sold in barns&nobles”. ture! But the key difference is people prefer to buy their books as digital copies maybe its more convent for them then to have the actual book present. it is not convent for anyone to be missing the original case of a game in which they paid full price for, Inot one CONVENECE, you can find it more of a hassle

edit: and just to correct alittle bit of what you said its not always their last copy in which they sell to you in white sleeves.(or maybe its just the gamestops around where i live) i live in new york and multiple game stops around here actually sell games in white sleeves and get away with it. its sickening

For those possibly looking at this thread for some sort of information regarding the game, I couldnt say I dont own it yet. Having said that the original if youve never played it, is probably the best 3-5 quid/dollars youre likely to spend.

Not gunna lie... If the EB games up here tryed to sell me a new game like that I'd probably just "Lol No" them. If it is an older game that could realisticly be the last one they have I wouldn't mind so much since as Aly said people are dumb and steal the empty boxes. In this case I don't mind if the case is a bit beaten up as long as there is no damage to the disk or manual.

The biggest thing though... the only reason they do the thing with the coupons is because they can get away with it. Your under no obligation to buy from them so if they start trying to give you a "new" opened copy tell them no. Chances are they will then pull out a real new copy for you rather then lose the sale.

never had a problem with Gamestop because i never bought there. Gamestop can not compete with the other stores we got in our area. Seems just like Wallmart: it does not work in our Area.
