In Newport News, VA and it felt so weird. Walls swayed, stuff on shelve shoot. To be honest I didnt think anything of it. But then how often does VA get a decent earthquake. This is being reported as the strongest earthquake to hit VA. Pretty Amazing..

What makes things better is that we have Irene to worry bout this weekend.

Well of course, that's Cali, you guys are all living on the edge (pun intended). But NYC - especially the incredibly cramped Manhattan area - isn't prepared for any quake more severe than what happened today. The west coast knew about the fault line and planned your infrastructure accordingly; the east coast is all "WTF mate?"

ya the news gonna play this up big time, but only thing to be concerned on east coast is unlike the west nothign is built to withstanding any kinda earthquake since theres no real building codes requireing it.
