Chocobos/Airship on the way and more!

I can honestly say with all these amazing patches coming out, now I'm beginning to like XIV so far. Still a few ways to go, but over all satisfied.

For me at least... chocobos should have been in effect in the game upon release. Airships will be nice but not nearly as much as chocobos would be.

Hopefully the 1.19 doesn't take months to come out.
What they are planning for it isn't as dramatically big as 1.18 is so you would assume it wouldn't take as long... but this is SE. lol

Chocobos are indeed a much needed touch. As nice as the scenary is, it's a bit aggrivating having to walk back and forth these gigantic zones when Anima isn't so forgiving to one's leve binging.

I'm hoping the introduction of beastmen strongholds will add a bit to the NM population. Not a breaking factor for the game, but one of my favoured features in XI. I also anticipate the temporary accentuation of atributes (looking back on XI's 1:1 STR/Att ratio on 2H weapons).

I can't wait to see how you get to fight enemies while on a chocobo.. But at the same time, that probably means mounting a chocobo doesn't guarantee an aggro free ride... That's going to get annoying..

Its definitely exciting to know so much is coming in each future patch now. Like its been said though we cant have another 3 month delivery time, but right now is the most fun I've had with the game since launch.

This is illegal in 42 of the 50 contiguous states. 44 if you count Hawaii and Alaska. In 5 out of the 6 states where it isn't illegal it is heavily frowned upon. Basically, you're in the clear if you live in Kentucky.

On a serious note, the game is basically FFXI Decaf - which is great if you A) don't have the time to sink into a game or B) if you dislike getting punched in the balls over and over again.

It is good and getting better with each update. If you're thinking of coming back or starting, do it now before the curve/seperation between pre-patch and post-patch gets too far.

FFXIV is still a work in progress obviously. I do enjoy it as much as I ever have BUT it is not enough to hold my attention long term.

I am optimistic that it will get there, the question is when? Which no one really knows. 1.19 and/or 1.20 should bring new life. I hope they deliver.

For now, I am more excited about FFXI increasing the level to 95 and in November... SKYRIM ~ UBER jazzed about that!

I hope FFXIV gets the 1.18 fixes/bugs worked out in a timely manner and that 1.19 is out by the end of September early November.

As a menu command perhaps. I doubt it would be a way to overcome tall cliffs, but a shortcut to maneuver those moderately small ledges would be wonderful rather than walking all the way around the damn things.

Yeah, I think that we aren't yet where the game should have been at release but the improvements are good enough that I enjoy playing it again and I'm eagerly looking forward to the 1.9 patch.

current gripes:
Lack of search for parties
Transportation
Linkshell control
Shaking player name as you run in certain areas
Camera occasionally going wild in combat

I get annoyed by the fact Square Enix are doing their best to maximizing game performance and enjoyment, but people already on our server are complaining "I beat the game...I want more stuff to do".

You know, it makes me want to smack them with my controller not everyone has gotten the game, hard core to play more than 14 hours, or getting their main jobs to rank 50 with the new exp system while everyone else are going at a steady pace.

Take me for example, pug 38 has been slow even with a static raptor run at Camp glory (I think?) & it's slow. What to do between those times looking for a static run? Craft. You will notice why I have multiple crafts for a reason = more efficient to level multiple jobs without worrying about repairs.

Crafting is much more easy to maintain because you're in control of exp'ing. But for experience points on rank jobs, it's slow. Sure, Adventurer leves or regional/local quests might give you the SP needed but what about the 2 1/2 day to wait for reset timer? What bothers me critically people getting one main job to 50 in two weeks. Some Bs is going on that's for sure.

How, where, & what mob?

My 2 cents of the day.

yeah agreed but there were players like that in FFXI too who lvl'd up jobs as fast as possible for whatever reason. If they wanna do that that's fine with me but complaining about lack of things to do already for that reason is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.

I mean they knew that point was coming right >.> So that's the end result for their style of play. There could be more content I agree but SE isn't concerned with these type of players complaints.

My 2 cents: If you are going to look for repairs for your gear then offer up the appropriate dark matter. Gil is so easy to make that we don't want your 1-2k. Use your notes for matter or lvl up the craft to repair your gear and stop being lazy and cheap.

So many players with 10% or less durability in their gear at lvl 40-50 cause they don't want to craft or I guess don't do any leves that drop matter. Don't waste your dark matter on these players please. Let 'em sit on their butts.

One of the things I'm looking the most forward to is the ability to assign points on every class ^^ That will be wonderful, cause I play two polar opposite classes - PUG and THM. And you just can't reallocate fast enough!

The job system should be interesting too. I can say, I came back to the game after a 3 month break when 1.18 was released. Since then, I have wanted to log on every day - and not really for one second have I been bored and had nothing to do. Game is shaping up nicely!

How are they leveling so fast with the new SP/exp system? Also, take a good look at most of the lodestone forums or where they post. You'll notice the ones getting ALL 50's on nearly all classes & getting the finest gear from raids, they're so obnoxious up to a point where you just want to throw up. Seriously, it's sickening and reminds me of the days people selling those ex/rare drops in XI.

Speaking of that, that's what they're doing as of today and the game isn't full published for any monthly billing. Rank 50 ex/gear already being sold... Unbelievable.

"Don't hate the playa, hate the game" comes to mind. Seriously, there's always going to be people ready to take advantage of situations or stupid people. Blame those willing to pay, not those willing to sell.

You SHOULD say "Rank 50 ex/gear already being bought... Unbelievable."

Although, gil isn't hard to make, and not everyone has a LS capable of doing these dungeons.

(◣_◢). . . Yeah but would be nice to get lv 50. I made it to 40 almost.

Nah, gil aint so hard to make but it's been tricky now since it wasn't like the first time selling new equipment at ridiculous price. It's all about supply and demand.
