I love buying random, unpronounceable German and Belgian beers whenever I stop by the liquor store. They rarely disappoint!
I also drank a lot of Anchor Steam in college. For some reason, my favorite bars almost always had it on special.
When I absolutely have to buy cold beer from a convenience/grocery store, I usually go for Blue Moon, Killian's, Dos Equis, or another beer that I can't remember at the moment. I refuse to buy beers like Budweiser or Coors these days, but if a friend offers me one, I won't get all snooty about it.
