Now I'm not saying he CAN'T love if he's young...but the fact he's so damn cynical about love, implies he HAS to have a lot of experience with the subject matter. You don't get cynical if its only really happened once (unless it was a REALLY REALLY bad experience).... And I am with ya on the "not mature love" thing. Young love can work out from time to time...its just very very rare.

What exactly do you mean by "love at first sight"? If you're saying that looking at someone and instantly loving them without knowing their personality at all can be possible, that's the most unreasonable thing I've heard in awhile. So I'm guessing that's not it.
