My favorite seasons are fall, winter and spring. I dislike summer because it gets searingly hot here (although I've been told I'm spoiled because it's mostly a dry heat and not as hot as other places.) But seriously, if it's over 80 degrees out, it's too darn hot. It should never get above 70. Last summer it was up to over the 100's and I melted! In winter here it's pretty cold. We get blizzards sometimes. Cold toilet seats first thing in the morning in winter are not my friend, but I'd rather be a bit chilly than sweating my eyeballs out!

When I was in middle school, I helped the band with carwashes to raise money for band trips. (Yes, I played flute. Yes, if you start the 'this one time at band camp' stuff I'm gonna punch you.) During a carwash, I forgot to put sunscreen on my ears and one of them burned so bad it bubbled. I couldn't stand it so I broke the bubbles and they didn't heal properly, so now one of my ears has a pointy tip at the top where it was deformed by me fiddling with it after a sunburn.

Speaking of pointy-tipped ears... When I first got ffxi, I planned to play an Elvaan. I loved the style of elves from things like Dungeons and Dragons (short and slim, four and a half to five and a half feet tall, 95 to 135 pounds, graceful but frail, pale-skinned, fine features, known for poetry, dance, songs, and lore, etc. It seemed similar to me, so it was easy to play as one. I'm 5 feet, one inch tall and 105 pounds, and have sung in choirs, danced, and played musical instruments for years, I have a small bone structure which makes me look frail, etc etc.) Anyways. So I was positively disgusted at the way SE made elvaan for ffxi-- toweringly tall, gangly, ungraceful, with poor battle stance and posture. Although many of my friends (including my best friend Pinklily) were Elvaan, that race continues to be my least favorite ffxi race simply because I was so disappointed that they weren't at all like how I expected.

I love interior design/decorating and architecture. I subscribe to Veranda and House Beautiful, and buy Architectural Digest on shelves when I see them.
