well SCH isnt really a DD. its more of a caster job... even though im all about SCH <3

It would depend on the level of the mob. This is just like back at the 75 cap if the mob had a ton of def a sam would out parse a war if the def was lower then the war would win. Given no subjob and assuming it's a higher level mob I'm going to say 1 rdm(Chainspell), 2 drk(With the recent update and the fact they were already zerg kings this is obvious), 3 sam, 4 war, 5 blm.

Assuming no high level mobs since you saying can spam w/o without tanking, BLU has a ton of spells they can spam to dish out a lot of dmg. No DD will compete with BLU w/o buffs (brd etc).

if ur including mage classes into the DD ranks then SCH will outdo BLM. (we all know blm wins inside abyssea) outside though, no refresh2, no ballad,etc... BLM still has mp issues outside abbysea. also SCH has the ability to self skillchain and magic burst. while still having a crapton of MP left over.

Also, take into account what OP said. No buffs of any kind except your own, this means BLU has adequeate defensive buffs with occultation/cocoon and also access to haste and self refresh. BLU will wipe the floor with anyone.

I'm gonna have to agree with draylo on this one blu has the ability to have self buffs only and manage multiple different scenarios. I mean come on have you seen draylos work?

in a 5m span there is no way a blu is gonna match k club drk....once blu runs out of mp its pretty much over lol... ya you get mad refresh gears....guess what you also lose dps putting those gears on lol

BLU, DRK, DNC, SAM, and MNK or WAR would be my guesses for melee DD, in no particular order. BLM, SCH, and RDM would certainly be on the list in a non-buffed situation though.

You guys are bringing up defensive buffs but like Spence has pointed out the scenario is who can deal most damage, not defend for longest.

No one has mentioned HF with Vere aftermath? I would think that would parse rather well up there including Impetus. BLU will run out of MP in 1 minute and have to just sit and swing their swords... Being a career rdm, idk how Chainspell would parse. You get like 8~12 Blizzard IV's in a 1 minute span and you're sorta just done.
RDM is the premature ejaculation job in Vana'diel =/ It's alot of build-up for a 1 minute show.
Edit: Are we assuming the thing will attack us back....or are we going with it's a wall with inf. HP, who can knock the most of it down?

rdm can convert and last another 40s or so nuking no? lol... still not gonna beat the ole k club drk lol.....I thought this had been established for years already, considering this is how most stuff got done back in the day (though i realize those were with haste and/or march...kinda not even the point at this point considering the sheer amount of swings with souleaters dmg bonus)
