Riddle Max Mp Down To 0

I am working on magian trial 2207, whre I am supposed to kill 250 manticores with water damage 250+. Since I started this trial I am 5/5 with Riddle bringing max mp down to 0. We are not talking about nms, but regular greater manticores in Cape Terrigan.

Contacted Gms they say that, despite me having killed 1500+ manticores on other jobs for other trials, this is not a new thing and it is as intended. Apparently it's rare too, but still 100% for me.

According to SE this rare but still 100% is due to some "coincidental" situation, which it is still won;t divulge.

since 0 mp makes it hard to complete the trial and SE (suprise surprise) doesn;t really want to help people in trouble I am asking here if anyone else has (had) this problem, how they solved it and what I can do to fix this

Are you wearing any covert MP to HP gear or - MP gear.. think that was my problem , can't recall tho

I've had the same (or rather, similar) things in Abyssea - Altep.

Was doing Sarahabahabahaba or whatever his name is, me and my BLM friend got hit with Riddle and it would take me to 70mp and him to 0.

I have no idea why I was dropped to ~70 and not 0 though ><

I tried with convert hp to mp gear and without. Thing is this NEVER happened when I killed them on blue mage for example for my sword trials.

Go to abyssea-tahrongi and you should 2 shot them(no time to use riddle), plus you get 10+mp/tick refresh.

This happens to me all the time on BLU in Abyssea Tahrongi Canyon.With buffs and no convert hp/mp gear

I just did em in Abyssea-altep. Can 1-shot there. However, building lights on scorpions is better. Not gonna get TE chest's off of maticores in droves, like you will with scorpions, for some reason.
