I don't see why it should be off-limits? It still counts as a cartoon of sorts and you said it was on Saturday anyways. (inb4 arguements about that, I've been on anime forums before where it's become quite heated and quite nasty actually)

Is my first time in MS paint, and also my work in progress >.>; At first I wanted to do a snippet from either Superman The Animated Series or Batman The Animated series or Batman Beyond, but it felt like sacrilege to try and do something awesome with such poor skills/talent.

This reminds me of a comic I saw, I believe it was in the previous Pics that make you LOL thread actually. It's the one with a spin on the typical non-JP guy thinking he knows everything about Japan simply because he's watched some anime. It made me lol until I realised I'm slightly guilty of what was featured in it >.<

Part of the fun is seeing what people come up with and different versions of similiar ideas. I might scrap my idea anyways. I've done a MLP: FiM related entry previous so it sorta feels like cheating. Also I'm sure a few people have some pony ideas in their heads, don't wanna put anybody off :(

It depends what Zahrah's idea is as I'd really like to do a joint entry with her this week. Just waiting for a responce from my PM...

Eh, anime are cartoons and cartoons are anime. People need to realise there is no difference (Japanese people call western cartoons anime too), especially in this day and age when a lot of new western cartoons are trying to emulate the anime "style" and vice versa. Big O and Panty and Stocking both come to mind as examples of western influenced anime.
As far as fans go, there are complete idiots on both sides. It's just cool to pick on the anime ones at the moment because it's the newer trend, whereas we've been exposed to western cartoons and their rabid fanboys for a lot longer so it's kinda stale.

That would be creepy, plus it would scare the hell out of me. It reminds me of those emoticon advert things that speak... the one that says "Helloooooooooooooo!!!" always made me jump, more so with headphones in because it was significantly louder than anything else >.<

IDK. Hewirah "The Half-Bearded" has been in the works for a while. There is always next week too. We're still working out some kinks, and trying to map out a clear idea of what we're going with ATM.

I don't care for anime either. My son is 4, and he can work netflix on the Wii better than I can. He always picks some anime thinking it is a cool cartoon, and it always winds up being something along the lines of soft porn. I opened up my netflix account and made sure I checked "Never" on anime related stuff and I still can't get it off :/
