Marty running over the tree creates a duplicate 1985 paradox.
Every time he creates an alternate interaction a new timeline is created.

So...in theory,
if someone were to travel in time forward pre-tree destruction, coming from the original time line, the mall would be called twin pine.
however, if they traveled forward post tree destruction(implying someone from original time line destroys it), it would be called lone pine.
The only way to destroy the alternate time line, is if the tree never is interacted with.
