Brown belt or Twilight belt?
I'm seriously wondering if the 1% haste & the 5 str from BB are beaten by 2% DA, any mathematically-oriented people able to help me out here?
Depends if haste is already capped or not

Not exactly... Black Belt is still annoying as hell to get if you don't have a mule and/or time stamp. Now more than ever, Black Belt isn't necessary, due to the sheer ease of capping haste without it. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice... but nothing to cry over if someone doesn't have it.
@OP Brown Belt, unless you're capping Haste with the same gear with Twilight.

Quit the job if your not gonna put in the effort to get the best TP belt for monk the only reason MNKs have other haste options is due to abyssea af3+2 before that other belts weren't even an option 70+ unless you wanted to be gimp.

MNK isnt like the old SAM bandwagon. Unlike SAM which was fairly easy to gear up to an acceptable standard via AH purchase and some mild NM camping, MNK requires a lot of effort or it remains a fairly weak job in all respects. If you want to play MNK, even if it isn't your main, get Black Belt. What people say about it being the best TP belt is absolutely true, but its also the best tanking belt by so far its unbelievable - and considering tank or solo MNK is 'the' role for MNK now, i'd say this is very relevant.

considering WHMs have unlimited MP in abyssea I don't see what any form of haste will do for you other then allow you to atk faster which means means more ws which means faster capping and recapping on VE especially when MNKs tank /WAR counterstance/blood tank style so whats this have to do with you being too lazy to #`1 do KS99 for blackbelt items or #2 camp kings for them?
P.S Blackbelt also provides PDT- 5% so you'd be "TANKING" better inside abyssea with one.In closing get a blackbelt.

Several important points here.
1: you were working on black, thus proving you were willing to put the effort into the job.
2: your other gear suggests a decent amount of effort has gone into MNK, thus keeping you away from the 'lolpinkmnk' or 'lolbrownbeltempymnk' sections.
3: OP was comparing brown to twilight without saying he/she was aiming for black. No real excuse for the lack of effort when playin mnk.

I didn't say it had anything to do with being lazy. I merely mentioned that if he did not have the means not to stress about it. If he waits a good week he'll have no problem getting the items.

You will need brown belt tO do quest for black anyways (on got off AH won't count cuz you need brown quest finished) so just work in brown and don't be lazy like alot of the lolgimpbandwafinMNK

2% DA does jack ***in abyssea seeing as you already have plenty of multiattack from apocalypse on top f other DA traits/gear to the point that 2% da is like 1% damage increase at best. 5 str on BB does nothing.
No offense to "leet" monks but black belt is by no means necessary to accomplish anything in abyssea. If monk is not your main job, I don't see why it's necessary to have one. It's incredibly easy to cap haste nowadays, especially on monk, so the difference between brown and black is really quite small. Telling someone to quit the job because they don't have a black belt is pretty ridiculous.

Correct but some one will still flame and cry. MNK must wear BB even if it gimps them overall depending on their other gear of course ... it's a rule they have for some reason.
