That reason is partially true because pld never used to have any ws really worth using so there was no strong reason to actually care about TPing up on the mob. Atonement did start to change this thinking but abyssea kind of halted that because of how much it broke DDs. Pld is just as good at taking hits as it always was, but even in a full DD setup, it simply cannot keep up with a nin/mnk/thf/war/w.e's DoT. And with how easy it is for mages to spam cures, there is really no reason not to use a DD as a tank.

Bravo! I went to a altep party way day with /nin just to skill up my clubs. I even made sure it was alright with the leader before going. So i go with my Reverend mail (i know outdated) and two clubs and go and skill up and keep my party alive. Get this ninja in the party and he strats making cracks at me "you're sure trying hard. reverend mail was so 06... dd whm? lawl"

For as much trouble as Aby parties have getting healers, you were right to d2 that BLM. I've been in 3 different parties lately that were going good, and fell apart because there were no healers LFP.
What is it with Cerberus NIN's? I was getting harassed by a NIN not too long ago over a ruby light, which I didn't even cause, meanwhile everybody around him was rubying it up. Wonder if it was the same guy.

They share one of the higher strs in the game, A+ combat skill A- for club i think, crit WS and even alot of good DD gear. Should be possible for them to give good DD but yet to see one even try : (
