Any bets on how far our new skill caps are gonna go? 120? 130? 140+
and what're your thoughts on mat prices going thru the roof for ppl who are playing catch up (ie: getting to 100 so they can go further)

Any bets on how far our new skill caps are gonna go? 120? 130? 140+
and what're your thoughts on mat prices going thru the roof for ppl who are playing catch up (ie: getting to 100 so they can go further) cap is going to stay at 100, they are just increasing the total skill points above 60 cap.
Yah it's tricky because they use the word 'cap' when you probably think of that as a level cap but its more of a cap on your levels ABOVE 60 (which is currently capped "at 40");
they are raising that cap from 40 to 80 (and potentially further at some point down the road. basically its like saying you could only level 1 job to 90 - and then one day SE says, ok you can now level two jobs to 90. One day we can level all crafts to 100 i bet. And yes there will be more demand for materials for a short time, i would say 6 months with no additional cap raise. because people will be leveling more craftings. I myself will be probably level smithing 60-100 or get alchemy and wood to 80. that will create additional demand on those materials for a short period of time. Eventually though (like right now) most people will be done leveling their crafts and the demand will return back to normal levels. as a side note, what SE needs to do is return some kind of gear slots to that which IS actually crafted to create more demand for items on the AH. Like perhaps in the next set of magian trials, there is a crafted item required in addition to some rare/ex seal perhaps. As, I think total points would be nice if they make skill up quicker.
I bet they'll increase crafting caps up to 120-140ish in the end, alot of people want new craftable gear not E/R or Synergy but for now the limit increase is nice.
any change to the current crafting system will be a breath of fresh air for me...even if for now its only a sub craft boost.

Edit: I didn't look at the post date for the last topic or even search for posts on this. :) |
