@Draylo(since there was a reply before my reply and I'm too lazy to edit in a quote)
You're obviously in the minority here. The voice acting is awful.
loool, the minority? Couple of scrubs in this thread vs one person? A lot of others enjoyed the VA, if it was so horrible they wouldn't have also used it for other games. You are just mad that things are changing and you wanna continue to look through your nostalgia glasses.
This is a joke, right?
Watching that made me die a little inside.
Wow, you too? You all really think this is horrible voice acting...?
I didn't mind the voices all that much, it's the choppy kid like graphics that hurt.
Take into consideration though I never played a DS, so idk if that's the best they could do with the platform.
Exactly. FF4DS is some of the worst 3D I've ever seen. It's painful on the eyes, yet some people say it's better simply because it's 3D, and liking 2D over 3D isn't logical unless you're being "nostalgic". Please..
Nintendo systems have never been all that great when it comes to 3D either.
On the DS at least. Wii does a fine job, at least for more toon-like stuff like Mario. Most games look like that for the DS, like the new Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.
Is it cross compatible with PS3 like most PSN titles?
This was just released in Japan today so I have no idea.
I don't have a PS3, are you saying it can play PSP titles as well?
Not PSP titles, persay. Most titles that you buy on PSN that play on your PSP are also playable on the PS3. I have Crash Bandicoot, FFVII, FFVIII and some others on my PSP that I can also transfer over to my PS3 (saves and all) and play on the big screen when I'm at home. It's pretty neat.

3DS looks very impressive though.
3DS looks pretty crazy, It's also supposed to get Netflix!

Oh okay, PS1 Games. I think FF4 Collection is a PSP Game itself :/

And you're a fool with the artistic sense of a dead snail.
Yes, it most certainly does. Oh, it's got 3D rendering. WOW. Until you realize all of the jagged edges, screen tearing and overall jagginess of the picture.

Artistic sense of a dead snail? Come up with that yourself grandpa?

Compared to the original, the graphics were enhanced greatly. It was made for the DS.
Damn I would love to play the after years or w/e it is too. Not buying a PSP just for one game though.
They've remade FF I and II for the PSP also, similar to this. At this rate, they'll remake them up to VI for the PSP.
PSPs are getting cheaper too so it may not be a bad idea for you to get one o:
As long as they don't make FFVI 3D, for completely separate reasons from the ones that I've previously expressed in this discussion.
Edit: Draylo, just stop typing. I know it's difficult, being a troglodyte, you have to find things to make yourself feel special. If embracing terrible 3D modeling and textures is that rewarding to you then fine, but by no means does that make it the end-all-be-all superior version of the game. Ever. Infinity.
Just downloaded this for psp today. Game takes me waaaay back, but the entirely new story set years after the original with all your favorite old characters all grown up is the best part! Anyone else tried it yet?
