Holy Shit Toonami!

***had me loling here and there, gonna have to go watch more of these.

BUT YEAH MAN DAMN. I wasn't there for the last episode of toonami, but I was there for its first (pilot) episode all the way through to when they reset their lineups and had shows like Hamtaro etc. (Think that was like the 3rd or 4th lineup swap). I would come home from school and do my homework then rush to the T.V. in time for those shows. Spec DBZ, Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Ruroni Kenshin, and I don't remember Outlaw Star being on there (may have been put on after I left or before I got done with my homework). In either case most of the best Anime's are the shorter ones (Or at least my favorite ones usually don't run past 30 eps), but Outlaw Star is great just the way it is (makes buying the entire DVD set easier).

I can't really consider DBZ to be part of the classics I guess, but the other two I can. Ronin Warriors was awesome!

Toonami played a huge part in me watching anime today.

Toonami introduced me to anime, period... lol
They need to at least get SOME good anime back on regular channels =/ Don't have anime network, and the best I can get is Yami no Matsuei on SyFy once in a while... Would be nice if kids nowadays had something to watch that was better than the "Watch this when you're high" crap they show now...

As soon as they started showing Hamtaro, I knew they were just randomly picking any old Japanese cartoon. People ate anime up at the time, no matter what the content was.



More on topic, there's dozens of Japanese-only crossover games, half of them being pretty shitty. Still, it's amusing seeing Ronin Warriors in the same universe as The Big O and Cowboy Bebop. Sunrise animates and owns half these shows so every now and then they like to have fun.

Man i do feel kinda old but i got to watch robotech, transformers, thundercats, and beavis & butthead. Today shows seem kinda bland now with very little creativity.

Ok, so it's not Anime, but this one goes way back when Moltar still ran the show.

Did anyone ever do Cartoon Orbit? i was so addicted to that lol! i used to watch toonami to get the secret codes and stuff haha XD

yes lol, but I don't think I actually ever participated with the codes because I was too young lol. I just remember writing them down all the time
