For those wondering where the actual FFXI servers are, it's possible they're also in Shibuya or Shinjuku but unlikely. Land is extremely expensive in the Tokyo inner wards, and I doubt they'd put a hosting facility at the site of their commercial offices.

Traceroutes to the auction house servers go straight into central Tokyo on NTT switches until they disappear into SE's internal network, implying the servers are relatively close by, at any rate.
