Question, since the earth shifted its axis by 10cm. doesn't that mess with our seasons? Did we just travel through time in a sense? :o

But anyways, 10cm will *** up our seasons by like, minutes, not anything noticeable.

I typically don't mind it, but when I have a valid argument or point to make, it's somewhat aggravating to see it disapproved without any rebuttal or retort to give that negativity merit; even if it is just a tiny number on the far right hand corner lol.

Best to just ignore the rating system. All it is, is a click of a button on a computer, with or without reason.
You could start a thread with proof of you curing cancer and you would probably still get rate downs from the random person who didn't like your avatar, doesn't like you for whatever reason, or just enjoys rating people down.
Edit: And I rated myself down as well just because I guiltily enjoy that minus sign from time to time, too. :)

You'd be surprised, but quite a number of users rate down nearly every post they read that isn't from themselves or one of their friends.
Rate downs are far more common than rate ups, which probably says quite a bit about the personalities of FFXI players, at least those represented here.
I've shared my thoughts on the rating system in countless other threads so I won't rehash them here, but suffice to say, I wouldn't dwell too long on a rate-down unless there's so many, it gets your post auto-reported.
