You mean not capped on a few nms while not eatting acc food or using any acc gear outside of normal haste or atmas outside of RR.

Indeed, using the Dagger allows me to keep full Haste + powerful atma + powerful food - not a bad tradeoff for what is statistically a high DPS dagger in terms of DMG/Delay.

Depends. Most of the higher evasion ones also have higher acc too so can find myself swapping out for an evasion atma anyways which can net me acc too :).

Oh probably should've added keeping as much subtle blow as possibly... I mean could get more acc in and keep capped haste but meh

Rather use an AGI Kila in that circumstance. You should use gear to complement Atma where possible and keep your Atmas the strongest they can be, as they are the biggest boost to your stats after Haste/sTP.

But then you are using dex and agi kila :(. And getting barely more than half acc/evasion than that one atma lol.

But you are keeping GH/Apoc which is a bigger damage difference than using "stronger" daggers.

Assuming you needed that much acc/evasion but not more (or more wouldn't help more) since the atma gives a decent amount more of both

GH is 50AGI which if you subscribe to the eva theory is an extra 25. Subtle Blow can often save your *** more than any extra evasion (and this is a lot of subtle blow). Even on THF, 15% TA is a significant damage increase.

Magian daggers are by far the best slots to stick these stats in when you're inside Abyssea. Outside? Toying with food can be best but again it all depends ... these daggers have a healthy quantity of stats on them.

Lol not taking GH off. Just saying your daggers do help your dmg. And atma would help your dmg in and of itself too if you didn't exactly need how much the daggers gave but not more. Get it?

I mean really if you fighting something where feel you need 20acc/evasion chances are 40 would still be useful. Though in all reality depending on what I'm fighting might want Future fab for my 3rd anyways.

Not so... with proper atma setup and capped evasion etc, 20 is plenty to floor you on most things. If you're not solo/sometimes duo, you often don't even need floored evasion especially if you're sacrificing damage for it (see casting vs not casting Utsusemi with support argument).

You're claiming that non-mainstream stat daggers aren't useful which I fully refute: people assume accuracy is auto-capped (it's not - and this slot is a great one to dump it in), people assume attack is auto-capped (it's not - underestimating STR Kila), etc.

Sure, if there is something out there you absolutely need to put on every tiny bit of evasion gear under the sun to tank then you might want evasion Atma but there is often precious little reason to. Load up on evasion in your weapon slots, use a DD atma, do more damage. Repeat argument for accuracy.

That's my point though. If you are close enough to floor with 20 evasion you don't need the dagger in the first place. If you are far enough away where you really do need the extra evasion/acc then you're far enough away where more would at least be useful

If you are making use of the accuracy from that dagger, DEX Kila+2 DESTROYS any other dagger aside from Relic/Empyrean (and then it is close). It's that good if the accuracy is used.
