Edit: Actually, my stepmother was attacked by a dog, and so was one of my uncles. They can be mean. I wasn't present for either attack, but as I understand it, my stepmother was playing fetch with the dog and it just turned on her. The dog who attacked my uncle was actually my mom's dog. I was an infant at the time so I don't remember it, but my brother was playing in the yard, my uncle drove up, walked up, opened the gate. The dog waited patiently until he was inside the gate, and when he made a move towards my brother, the dog attacked. It was likely a defense, the dog likely considered my brother her pup. He was still a child.
Anyways, point is, I love dogs but do please be careful with them!

I've never met a mean German Sheppard.
Even the ones police train to attack and bring people down. It was nice as hell and super calm considering a room of like 20 midgets were all over it when the D.A.R.E. Officers brought one in.

My brother has a shepherd mix, a rescue dog. His name is Shep. He's the most beautiful dog! He's terrified of people though, he lived with my brother for a few weeks before he'd let my brother touch him. He cringed and cried the first time they put him on a leash, so they think that someone beat him with a leash or a rope before. :-( I better never find out who beat that dog!
But yeah, I wouldn't approach Shep alone, ever. He's met me, he knows me, but I know he's scared and scared dogs react badly when they feel threatened. I like it when he comes up to me, but I would never walk up on him. Poor Shep. :/

Poor dog. That sucks. Then they lash out when they get scared and some are put down for scenarios like that. It's awful when animals are abused.

Of course some dogs are naturally more aggressive than others, but a shitty owner is all it takes to make any dog, even ones that are naturally chill, into aggressive *** faces.

My brother has two british bulldogs. LOVE THEM. Both pansies. My fav is the girl one, shes so cute n loveable and gives you that lil face....I will have to upload a pic of her.
