And onions is my allergy, I am deadly allergic to them. So there's alot of stuff I can't eat that is premade like microwave food.

This. I have the cooking know-how to cook all my meals, but... dishes... *** dishes, man. Like yesterday I made these kick-*** noodles from scratch (well not the noodles themselves, but the soupy stuff they were in). In the fray which included making my own broth out of bouillon (I didn't have cans of broth on hand), cooking the noodles and warming up the chicken, I used up 7 dishes for one meal. It's so much easier just wrapping up some parchment paper and tossing it in the trash.

I clean as I cook. If I finish with a dish that I know I won't need again, I clean it. Or if it's something I can just rinse and reuse for the next step, I'll do that. :x

Well, I don't actually make the noodles themselves from scratch. I'd like to, though. Someday. I have seen the diligence required for it, though. It takes a certain panache, not something a person can pick up in a couple minutes. It would be awesome, though.

Yeah, the other day it took me 22 minutes to cook up some pan potatoes, and that was just the side dish.

I think the biggest mess with multiple pans is eggplant lasagna cause I have to oil fry the battered eggplant and make the sauce.

FYI - cheese cloth some bones and put that in a red sauce for the morrow makes the dish taste so much better.

But with the allergy, I can't even eat out at like TGIF or anywhere and if fast food gives me food with onions and then remove it and give me the same thing back, I'm screwed.

I miss buying potato salad, it's so much work.

Homecooked stuff is always better though
