Basilisk in le Depths or Great hollow if you stand still for more than 5secs buy a purging stone from undead merchant and just...run away if you see white smoke

Fought a Basilisk, but guess I didn't get cursed... Either that or that's why I lost to Gaping Dragon so fast lol...

It use to be that the first time you got cursed then you lost 50% of your HP even after you died. the 2nd time you got cursed if you were still cursed you lost another 50%, leaving you with 25%. It would keep going like that and if you were in a spot where you could get cursed over and over and not get out your game was over unless you never got hit on the way out.

Now it only does it once.

Cursed used to stack and reduce your hp to 1/4 then 1/8, luckily they made it kinder in a patch

It hits ridiculously hard. If you aren't familiar with it's attacks itse VERY easy to die to the Gaping Dragon.

Yeah, I was merrily on my way back to Gaping Dragon, because the first time I got to it, I was out of heals, but this time I was slow to hit the basilisk. D: Now I'm trekking through the New Londo ruins to try and get it removed.

I will say this. If you don't know how to beat the Gaping Dragon it can be very difficult.

However, if you DO know how, it's the easiest boss in the game hands down.

Without heals, I took Gaping Dragon down half way in 4 swings. Didn't seem like it was gonna be too bad really.
