My PC is a few years old but I can still play new games, though not on highest settings. Usually high though :/ You don't need top of the line stuff to play new games on high, though "highest" or "max" you do.

Busy tonight but what about tomorrow? Ina didn't get to win the fight :( someone killed him right after he summoned me and he used up all his humanity. We can try the fight again with 2 RL people!

I'm still am in the frame of mind that PC's are expensive if you want to get any use out of them.

How much would it cost to play games with decent graphics? Also, how much would it cost to upgrade hardware to keep up with the standard?
To build a PC now that'll play anything on Med-Ultra settings with a monitor you can get by with like 1k. That's not the cheapest you cna do but that would be quality parts and a high enough GPU to make sure it last 3-4 years then in a $150-200 upgrade would make it fine again.

Again I say you can do cheaper but I prefer quality and longevity.
Also something like a monitor is a long term investment. You don'ta have to upgrade those often unless you just want to.

When I get home I can crunch some numbers for you if you want.

I'm no PC expert, but I bought mine like 3 years ago... was around £600-£700, IIRC... could run FFXIV on max settings even back then. Shouldn't really be that expensive to get something decent these days. :x

1k isn't that bad, I thought the average computer was around 1.5'ish. Yea numbers would be nice, thanks uri :)

Can actually get by with much less thanks to AMD launching the trinity project. Can not use it as a GPU and the processor is very strong for $130.

Anywho leaving work I'll be home in like 35-40 and I can crunch numbers to give you some figures Kali.

I have 2 PCs in my room. My primary gaming PC which cost me.. 3000$

and my former Gaming PC which cost me 2200$ which you can build now for around 700-800$ which plays most games very well on High settings.

You can't get this on Xbox.
