I like Rygor. There's a few I'd have had to emotionally wrestle over if Wuffi wasn't an option. I did call a GM once and ask if I could custom name my wyvern after a friend from my linkshell that'd passed away.

Well that would be like me saying I had a buddy Fuk Yu that passed away. No way to prove that wasn't his real name... lol
I was so so sad to see you couldn't make up your own chocobo name. I hadn't read that far into the guide and I was just crushed when I got to that point ; ;

Wyvern was named Raiden. Back when DRG was THE LOL job. Then it started getting popular and everyone and their mothers chose Raiden. Most of whom were terrible DRGs and shamed Raidens name. ;-;

I always left my FF11 chocobos nameless until the teen stage, when the color showed up. Then I gave them names based on what color they had hehe.
Red Comet, Azure King, and Jade Princess. I loved my chocobos hehe
