I think it is because they camouflage with the chocolate ones.
you bite one and expect the chocolaty taste that melts in your mouth, but rather, end up with a raising (in some cases sour) flavor, and it get stuck on your teeth as you chew it.
but like all things, there are good raisins and bad raisins...

on the cookie note, over a year ago, my cousin asked my mom for her cookie recipe, and since last year's xmas, she has been baking and gifting cookies...

oooh such... such... poor cookies... they dont deserve to be flavorless, undercooked and hard to eat... such poor cookies... Q.Q

I've never had a problem telling raisins apart from chocolate chips. Guess I could understand the mistake. :I
