yeah i bought the sims 3 in the morning after camping the steam sales going on lol its says i started at 11:05am >____>
If it weren't for Abri I totally would have missed it, like I did last winter holiday sale :<
I've wanted this game for a {long time} but never wanted to dish out full price.
I wasn't sure what each one was like or what it exactly added, so I just got the high end loft stuff. It was all I could really afford.

thats the one i got too lol my little sister wanted that one most and we both have loved the sims since we had it on ps2 lol i dunno when the sale is ending but i got the expansion now just in case. i heard they are releasing a pets expansion soon and i wants :<

Sims 3 is pretty advanced compared to the old ones.
The first and second ones were happy-go-lucky, make whoever, get cool stuff and have fun with it. But this time it's like you make a person and give them life goals and aspirations to achieve. Professional Chef, Movie Star, Classical Composer, Famous Author, FBI Agent, etc. etc. etc. It's pretty cool :O

My favorite part of any sims game which would have me going at it for hours on end is building a house, making unique layouts with porches, backyards, balconies, and other unique rooms and how they flow together etc. That's what I like the most.
Too bad there's no life time goal in there to simply be a bum.

I used to try so hard to make my Sims' lives work. What happened last time I played one, think it was Sims 2, my guy wound up getting into an affair with a neighbor who was a single mom. Their kids were dating too, and I had made myself a wife. I had also gotten my wife preggos before the affair. >_> She committed suicide or something, and then the mistress blew a fuse. They kept makin' woopie though.

Yeah, was my friend's computer version. Another time he and I made these two bachelor's live together. The one I made turned gay, and he started hitting on every guy with two legs. Even his roomie, who dunked him in the hot tub. Another time we made a perfect dual couples, except mine died while trying to extinguish a fire that his one's started, so then I took his one's wife/girlfriend person and trapped her in a small walled in cooking area. I forced her too cook things and set them on fire until she died from exhaustion in her own waste. The Grim Reaper was mad, because he couldn't get to her, and he kept banging on the wall.
In the one with the Monkey Butler my friend got the butler, paid him to clean up a ton of messes, and then in the middle of all the messes he sold the house thing. The Monkey Butler glitched or something, and he became our never tiring, never ending servant. Then my friend kept walling off strangers who would come in to visit, kill them, and then the Monkey Butler would put their body in a garbage bag and put them into the trash compactor/disposal.
Anywho, before I recall more The Sims shenanigans, I need to go to bed. DEP meeting tomorrow. Navy woo!

Man that is awesome. You could totally make movies or TV series stuff done through The Sims lol.
Lol my sister would trap sims and kill them for tombstones. My god there were so many lol was fun lol I think I still have that save file on my ps2 memory card lol
