Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
lemme get some of dat mang
Wood paneling is the cancer on old homes. Who thought this was a good idea? and who thought about making them different colors like blue and green?
1. People who thought it was an improvement over wallpaper while looking more natural and allowing them to be lazy.
2. People who thought it was an improvement over wallpaper while looking like wallpaper and allowing them to be lazy. Just my opinion. People still buy it, too. If they want that look, real wood planks look so much better. Oh that's right, you work at umm Home Depot, right Dro? Do you guys have anything to get rid of mold?

I hate wallpaper. I hate hate hate hate HATE it. I will take wood panel or I'll texture drywall and paint it over wallpaper any day.
He works at Lowes~ How much mold are you walking about? infested inside wall/ceiling? or accessible areas? eh i have a texured painting over the wood panaling in my room, kinda looks like its clouds lol
Its on the side of the wall in my room. I can easily wipe it but I don't know if that's safe or what. Its not black mold.. just whiteish. It always comes back in the same spot and the area behind it is clear. I'm not sure what to do.
I thought he might know D: he's like manager right? Couldn't hurt to ask :(
Haha. Thanks for answering for me while I was distracted, Dread.
They do make stuff for killing surface mold and whatnot, but if it keeps coming back, it's either in an area getting too much moisture or there's a worse mold problem on the inside of the wall. More than likely, anyway. They also make a mold inhibitor that you can add to regular paint. We used to sell it but I haven't seen it at our store in a few years. Am I going to die? :(

Get a spray bottle and fill it with pure chlorine, spray the wall down well, let it set for 15 mins, do it again, set 15 mins, soak a rag in the chlorine and wipe down the area. Wait an hour, then wash down the wall with bleach or a cleaner to get rid of the smell. Keep the room well ventilated when you do it. I'm almost guaranteed its moisture related. My room gets mega hot in the evenings and I have 5 windows all facing the sun in the evenings.. my poor AC tries to cool it down but not very well. If that's possible.. I don't even know lol Bismarck.Dreadnot

Either pull down your blinds during the afternoon/evening or keep your windows open and don't use your AC until after 7pm.
Is there an airvent near the wall that has mold? Check the area day to day for condensation in the morning and evening. Dread appears to be the moisture master.
I'm sure living in Florida helps. Oh I have blinds, black curtains and a blanket over 3 of the windows but it gets so hot. I had a candle in front of the window and it melted lol
There is a vent outside above the windows but its painted over.. I asked someone about it but they said not to worry about it o.o *** this house, I want to move nao. So happy to be back in New York!

(I don't have an attic though so what could it be for?)

Secret spycam, obviously.
How far away is the wall with the mold to your window unit? Right beside it. about 2 inches
perhaps the window unit is making the wall beside it sweat? As you can see, I'm really handy lol Bismarck.Dreadnot

That's your problem. Your window unit is heating up the wall it's sitting on and the cooling inside is building condensation.
it may not be a lot, but it's enough to let mold grow. Would moving it to another window help? or just make the other wall mold? I love my AC D: Thankfully fall is here but still :(
You should charge for this info :I Bismarck.Dreadnot

is the current window for the AC next to a second wall/corner or the middle of the room?
