Game designers would do well to remember this, it's a worrying trend that they feel what seems to me as a player to be an obligation to make things more complicated and add new aspects to an already perfect game. The attitude seems to be, ok the next one has to be BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER! Eventually it becomes so big with so many more features that it pushes the original elements that made it the success it is today, into obscurity and players forget what it was they liked about it so much in the first place.

It's like oh you're a noob unless you EV level specifically for this many hours of this many rattatas then EV level this many days here and this many days here then breed 13 times with an identical pokemon that's so impossible to find it takes a year just to acquire oh but it has to be a shiny or it's no good so go back and find another one yes that means turning the game on and off over and over until you find a shiny or the game breaks then feed it these things in this order if you mess it up start the entire game again and and and *** THIS I JUST WANT TO PLAY *** POKEMON FFS.
W/e. My red Gyarados rocked ALL lol. I got some high level pokermans still on my plat (was 3 away from finishing the national dex and just stopped lol). Had a whole box of legendary ones. I had some strong non-legendary too (go Scizor)

i dont see people as noobs for not ev training lol i know how to ev train but i rather not cuz im not playing to have the strongest pokemon lol i do like having good natures though :P

But Sagi, it's the same with the competetive scene in every game; if you don't do everything possible to be as good as you can, people will call you out on it. It's not restricted to Pokemon.

I don't see the point seeing as there are players on the other side of the world who dedicate their lives to raising the best pokemon, none of us will ever be as good as them. Besides, I don't get aroused from having strong pokemon. Playing a game like a science project takes the fun away from it.
i play with no one! /catches pokemons that look cute :P though garchomp isnt cute, just a personal fav :P

Random thought: I wonder if Valmur has a mic. I wonder if I could get him to say "She sells sea shells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I'm sure she sells seashore shells." on it for me. :O
Don't get me wrong though, I know that people (including myself sometimes) like to max out as much as they can in games for the achievement as much as anything else, if I was playing Pokemon against other players then it would make sense to be analytical about it.
