It's Lord of the Rings online, I have been doing the rounds on free MMOs since I quit FFXI to see what's out there. So far, this is certainly standing above Star Trek online and Aion.

It uses the same WoW gameplay and graphics engine like every other F2P MMO out there, but it does it almost as well as WoW and has a magical feel to it, familiar locations, colourful lush environments and beautiful, beautiful music that fits perfectly with the cultures of the races.

I'm going to play til level 20 and review my stance on the game again.

Aion is alright... but if you play WoW then play Aion it's like going from 5 star gaming to 3 star gaming, huge chasm in quality. It doesn't offer anything WoW doesn't already offer and WoW does everything Aion does 10x better. But it is F2P. It lacks novelty though, the one thing that gives appeal to the other MMOs that play like WoW.

I admire your loyalty to FFXI by refusing to play WoW >_> I was once the same, as much as I hate admitting it though, WoW is pretty good and certainly leading the way by a long shot for MMO using the hotkey system.

i have no loyalty to ff11. i hate ff11. i just dont like wow. i like aion because its beautiful, the quests let you solo but also provide a challenge. Its just something i like to play to relax. not needing to have it be superior to other games

How do you know you don't like it if you refuse to play it? You can't compare the two without trying them both.
