I feel like I ask somebody this on a monthly basis, but...How do you like it with the changes? Worthwhile?

I just got back into it really. I played just before Jan (the pay to play start), and they've even made changes since then that I've noticed already. Combat is fun and engaging. Even though there is auto attack you really need to pay attention so you can use your tp wisely and combo your moves (think SC but you can actually do it solo). Fight dynamics are great. Some moves have greater potency if you're standing behind a mob, or even to the left or right of the mob. I'm really impressed again so far, and I want the Legacy Discount. The Legacy Discount is if you pay for 3+ months prior to the 2.0 Beta. It flags your account for a LIFE TIME OF 14, discount to 9.99/month. Well worth trying the game out again. If you happen to love it, then well you earned a great discount per month for as long as the servers are up and running.

Casual player friendly?

VERY Zah. When I was playing pre-2012, I was able to solo to 29 at my leisure on pugilist (this was before the "advanced jobs" system). It's so fun and easy to play. It really is getting so much better. Go Ragnarok! :P

Elzen Archer is tempting. What's the deal with "companies"? Maybe I need to start sifting through the XIV threads again.

Hearing about this Legacy thing now though, kinda wanna grab the game as soon as I get some money. Been interested in buying it since I saw the implementation of the advanced job system and have at least one rl friend who's been wanting to play.
