Anyway, just finished ripping out my factory CD player from my car, taking it apart, and removing the penny that was jammed inside (my son decided it was a slot machine last summer).
Retrieved the CD that was still inside... But the motor in the player is still dead.
So, my options are to replace it, or continue on without it as I have for the past year. Hmm.
Edit: Also, was listening to my Avenged Sevenfold station on Pandora while working in the car, and it played the song Kryptonite by Three Doors Down. It got to this part:
And I immediately thought of Kailana (even though I've never saved her from anything :o ). <_<

what kind was it? factory or aftermarket?
If aftermarket you can probably just buy the same brand.
for example: I upgraded my Sony in dash with a new Sony in dash, all I had to do was slide it out, unplug the old, plug new in, slide back in, voila!
now if you need wiring done that's another story...
Factory. I can do the wiring... I've done it plenty of times. (My old car had three... yes three... stolen out of it.)
Just not sure I want to bother. It has radio, and I have my phone for any other music. Too bad it doesn't have an aux input or the CD player wouldn't even matter.

It's Pandora, I have no idea how they decide to play what they do.
I like the A7X station though because it also tends to play a lot of older music. AC/DC, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, etc. Pretty good range of stuff to keep me from getting bored.

I just use Tunein Radio app on my phone and put it on GotRadio Rock station. It tends to put a good amount of music on there and has actually introduced me to new bands.
