Games like FFX were completely on rails, the old villains had all the complexity of a paper cup and it puts SE in an awkward position where they're obviously in unfamiliar territory trying to catch up with the standards of 2011. Since these are random thoughts give me a freakin' REAL sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics. Same universe, new story. I had some long post in rebuttal to this but the site somehow moved me to the shouts page (probably my touchpad, stupid typing on a laptop, need to disable that ***). basically WRPGS suck imo, may as well play an mmo. I don't like having to chose every single last *** thing, it's ridiculous. JRPGS aren't on the decline just they haven't increased in popularity any, the general public is stupid and like to bandwagon, aside from that most hate anything with "japanimation" I would say jrpgs still have their fanbase but the companies instead of relying on that fanbase and realizing most won't play their games due to stupidity they keep trying to get new customers and screwing over their loyal fans. quantity > quality always fails and then you get things like FFXIII Bismarck.Misao said: » And meshi, gotta talk to ya about that, think I effed up on that project oh and I've been playing Pokemon Yellow again (thanks Chuuuuu)
I don't even recognize pokemon past Crystal, and I don't even like most of 152-251... I keep *** up though because I'm playing it on my DS on lameboy (and with acekard2i flash cart) but somehow it keeps not saving properly so I have to redo a few things a few times, like I've left the rock tunnel 4x... IDE's are easy and cheap to get ahold of, there's a lot of talent in the shadows, anyone with freetime and half talent can make a game, you get them on teams and you get people who care who aren't overwhelmed by corporate ***. In the current age, comparing games just makes you disappointed so it's best if you just enjoy them for what they are. Skyrim was fun up to a point, but then I got bored of it really fast.
I only got 27 hours out of skyrim before I got board, atleast 4 hours of that is me leaving the game open and doing something else... Honestly was more dissapointed in that game then the ending of ME3.

Yea I was around 80hours in doing quests and misc stuff but then I couldn't finish the main quest because of a bug so my save file was worthless :( (on ps3) Ramuh.Laffter said: » I would just have to say someone still has their nostalgia glasses on. In the current age, comparing games just makes you disappointed so it's best if you just enjoy them for what they are. It's not nostalgia. It's fact. Better music, better characters, deeper plotlines that covered morals, ethics and philosopical themes. This obviously does not relate to every game old and new, but generally speaking it's true. I did practically everything I could quest wise..there were some quests I couldnt trigger because like..I didn't level magic or some shiz..and I did not go to every dungeon...but I got my quest log down to like 2 activated side quests laaaawl and a repeat "kill this dragon".
I also couldnt finish a main quest line..still stuck on the civil war quest for the imperials :P thx ps3 glitch. I did love exploring, it was my favorite past time but the dungeon crawling for that many dungeons was incredibly repetitive. If I went in one it was because a townsfolk sent me there..I rarely randomly ran into one. my other disappointments in it were the lack of music :P and I was kind of disappointed that Solitude was as fancy as towns get. otherwise it was alot of fun. I'm about to strangle the idiots in this place. Some *** decided to take the last box of 3-1/3" x 4" avery labels, that I use a lot for the people in shipping, AND DIDN'T TELL ANYONE, which they're supposed to do. ***. I just hope somebody doesn't make a game ruining meme or something, there's a member of this forum who nonchalantly posts spoilers that have ruined several movies for me so I'm wary. |
