Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
I still pronounce "colour" like "Co-lore."

After the amount of "stuff" I'll be doing this next week, I'll need it, lol. ![]() :P Throughout all of my schooling, all my English teachers marked off 5 points each time you spelled it "color". Not to mention, my parents taught me "colour" for as long as I can remember. Either way is correct, it is just what I have been accustomed to.
I'll take it you had your education in...not America?
I'd find it bizarre for a teacher to teach you how to spell color in an area that doesn't spell it the way the teacher is instructing you. My school actually had like 6 European English teachers, and our principle was Irish. The elementary school teachers did it that way, but at that time my parents insisted on me spelling it "colour" and the teachers acknowledged that it was correct as well. I also had a private tutor during middle school that was from England. That's some heavy English influence o.O and I find it strange that your parents went with "colour" as well. (lol, even Firefox underlines colour)
S'all good though. I find it fancy. Color is Also Colour

I always saw them as over-complicated ways to spell it as it just confuses the English language even more x.x but if you're raised in that area I guess it's second nature.

I really am too white to be doing any kind of gang sign. XP Webster screwed us up then
time to burn some dictionaries I spell it the 'merican way but I've had classmates that will do it the english way and I've never met a teacher that counts off for how to spell color/colour/favor/favour. Metre does make me want to go all francias though..start spitting everywhere trying to pronounce "MEATR-FLEM-A" my 12 yo sister pronounces color wrong though. I want to strangle her. She says it like "caller"..its CULL-ER duh :| Ramuh.Haseyo said: » That's some heavy English influence o.O and I find it strange that your parents went with "colour" as well. (lol, even Firefox underlines colour) S'all good though. I find it fancy. A lot of my family's heritage comes from English and Irish roots, my great grandmother was full English and great grandfather was full Irish on my mother's side. As such, they've decided to stay as true to our heritage as possible. But my father's side is a little harder to trace. They more or less fit the fat, lazy, and dumb American stereotype (can't stand his side of the family). Yeah, I take no offense. I recognize that some people know it as "color" and others know it as "colour". Also, yes it was fairly odd that my school had so many foreign teachers. They were all cool though and let me get away with sleeping in class most of the time. Mainly due to the fact that I still made mostly A's with the occasional 88ish (B+). XP I have no idea. :D I was told to throw something up and even after much protesting I was still forced to be in the pic. So I simply said "Ok hand, just do something that's not either a peace sign, middle finger, closed or open hand and we'll be fineish."

Might as well catch up on lost gaming time. Anywho, lateurs! D; Oh yeah! I just remembered, I meant to post part of my phone conversation I had while at work today...
Basic backstory... Someone called and wanted to know if we sold something. I told them no, but it was likely that they could order it online and have it shipped straight to their home that way to save them the trouble of going after it. This was the response I got: "I won't touch computers. I'm from the old-school. I think they're going to be the death of us all. You have a great day. *hangs up*" Asura.Dominate said: » Sigh, Kalilla. -_- All this talk of ancestor in the other threads has me wondering what I am. Most of my family history is lost. For some reason I've got dark brown head hair and blonde facial hair if anyone knows if that's typically part of some ethnicity.
