Yeah, I've always felt that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in their culture firsthand. Usually those foreign language classes are about formality anyway. It's better to learn the less formal end in person, I feel. I mean, I've taken a year of Spanish. I can't speak the language.

I have to take like like all the way up to Spanish 202 so that's 4 Spanish courses too. But I'll have 2 done when I transfer there.
Wait, you need German and Spanish? I know one of your majors is History. Is the other Linguistics?

most classes dont tell you how to have a real conversation in the language, they just teach you phrases to use to get around, in my experience at least.i took a few years of french and thought i was decent enough, i go to read something and im like "lolwut".

its hard to find good linguistics programs that dont cost a fortune =(
UNC has one, but i dont think i could get in to there, or at least afford it

Hopefully everything will pan out and in a couple years I'll look at Grad schools. Hopefully I'll find a nice one in Germany if not I'll stay here for one.

Unfortunately nowhere in like 1000 miles teaches Swedish, Cause I'd much prefer that as my second over Spanish.

I've also considered masters in Linguistics but ehhh, I prefer History.
May even take some masters level German so I can teach that.

i dont think anywhere in the US period teaches swedish to a level thats really even worth it =/

Yeah most of them only offer a few courses
im using this whenever i do get around to working on it, it has audio, and its free, its kinda the best i can find that fits both of those.

playing around with ubuntu now, i like it a lot more than fedora. Its like mac os x, but without the suck! =D

depends on the desktop layout you chose, I need to learn how to run debian, I wish I could find a gui arm emulator, the command line stuff is beyond my free time limit right now.

im guessing kidney failure? maybe kidneys are easier to get a transplant for, since you can live with one.
Seems liver failure is what caused people to die the most. eh well. XD took forever.
i imagine a mix of all 3 would be pretty horriterrible
