Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Yeah, I've always felt that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in their culture firsthand. Usually those foreign language classes are about formality anyway. It's better to learn the less formal end in person, I feel. I mean, I've taken a year of Spanish. I can't speak the language.

I have to take like like all the way up to Spanish 202 so that's 4 Spanish courses too. But I'll have 2 done when I transfer there. Wait, you need German and Spanish? I know one of your majors is History. Is the other Linguistics?

German is the other.
If majoring in a language you have to take up to 202 in a second. its hard to find good linguistics programs that dont cost a fortune =(
UNC has one, but i dont think i could get in to there, or at least afford it Cerberus.Irohuro said: » Bismarck.Magnuss said: » Yeah, I've always felt that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in their culture firsthand. these are all the languages taught at UNC chapel hill
here Hopefully everything will pan out and in a couple years I'll look at Grad schools. Hopefully I'll find a nice one in Germany if not I'll stay here for one.
Oh, Dutch.
If UNC didn't cost an arm and leg out of state I'd consider it. Unfortunately nowhere in like 1000 miles teaches Swedish, Cause I'd much prefer that as my second over Spanish. See, that'd be sweet. You just doing a Master's, or going for full Doctorate?

May even take some masters level German so I can teach that. Well, best of luck in that, man. I'm gonna go ahead and call it for the night. I'll speak at you guys later.
