Vyre's avatar kinda reminds me of that 4chan thing of the guy talking about his "***" and how everyone is jealous of him.
Terrible explanation, but you know what I mean!

Hey guys, wanna ask you something. I have 2 kids (5 and almost 7), boy and girl respectively. I am running out of books to read them before bed at night. I try to read about 20 to 30 minutes to them each night before bed. I am searching for a new book to read. I kinda want to find a long fantasy story or a series to start them on. I have thought about maybe Harry Potter or The Chronicles of Narnia. What do you guys think. Is that material too old for them or do you think they will like it. I have never read either series.
There's a good possibility they would like it. I would also suggest the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Whether any of these options are "too old" for them is hard to say, they do seem a bit young but I was quite infatuated with such reading at that age.
If something is "too adult" really depends on the kid. At 5 I enjoyed reading mythology books.
I don't remember being that young. That was a loooooong time ago...
Redwall does look interesting... Bismarck.Nevill said: » I don't remember being that young. That was a loooooong time ago... Redwall does look interesting... There's also a saga meant for young kids(though I actually enjoy it...)called Artemis Fowl. It's good and a very "light" read.

Spath sit like a lady and adjust your skirt.
Ok, I sat them down and read a few pages, and they really seem interested. Looks like I will be purchasing the first book of the Redwall series. Thanks Spath.

I don't know any gamers like that who actually have girlfirends >_>

My parents used to read me a chapter of any book I chose (within reason) before bed each night. Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia both would be really cool! I also loved books by Roald Dahl, such as James and the Giant Peach, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or my personal favorite, The BFG. Josi and I went swimming this morning.. ;/
I thought you were Sagi for a second there. :x

HALP. I can't tie a sewing knot to save my life. Everything I sew just unravels because I can't knot the threads in place! I googled for help and it was all for quilting or hand-sewn knots. I sew with a machine. I youtube'd for help and it was pretty much just like the google helps.
