I'm in the middle of a hated relationship between my wife (cuz she's such a child and does not know how to control her emotions) and my mother (she's pretty much the same thing but added age makes her feel superiority and even said "we can find him another" and "I don't ever want that woman in my house"); my Dad and me do not want to get involved with women problems cuz they're a brainfuck... but this is a serious situation.
My Mom asked me and the kids (did not include my wife in her invitation, but she knows damn well not to say no; or better not) to come over for some BBQ, so I'm like sure it'll be swell; I asked my wife (last night to call today, but when I did she started jumping up and down like a little child saying nono... wtf) to call my parent's house since this morning but my mom didn't pick up the phone cuz my wife was calling from her cell phone (or because she wasn't there, idk) and when I told her call again an hour ago my mom picked up and told my wife "Sure, you can come when your husband gets off of work together".
Side note: what set this problem in motion was because my wife called my brother's wife and told her "Oh, you know how my birthday is coming up and all; you should just give me a gift card instead", my brother's wife is like "But I don't have any money and I'm gonna be overseas" so my wife's like "Well, I bought you bunch of stuff tho" then my brother's wife called my mom and asks her what should I do etc - my mom then calls my wife and releases the 10th gate of hell on her lol.
Should I not go and let them both dwell on their arrogance or go and see how it plays out?
Your wife is kind of out of line, if your brothers wife has little or no money she should not try and guilt her into doing something.
Mothers Vs Wife will always take place especially if they're similar in personality.

Put them both in a room and lock the door. Don't let them out until they work it out.
