I really don't get the hate, it's not like his movies are that bad. Sure, they might not have great stories but at least they're entertaining. At least he's no Uwe Boll.
I never get the hate, either. So what if he just substitutes great story with huge explosions.. I don't think his stuff is exactly oscar-worthy, but his movies aren't terrible.

About Bay I just don't like the direction itself. The way the scenes are taken, the cameras, the lighting. Nothing wrong if you like it, but I really don't.

actually, I take it back, I liked Bad Boyz and Pearl Harbor.

Why don't people ever talk things out? I've been taught that eviscerating the problems you have with someone can help solving them. And I always thought it wasn't such a bad idea. I mean what kind of harm could ever come from trying to understand each other better?

I often make the mistake thinking that movies have to have a meaningful story, or... I dunno... Some profound message. Sometimes I just want to see ***explode.
Having said that, I still think people that enjoy comedies like Epic Movie and Disaster Movie (Wayans Brother movies, I think) or whatever are dumb.

the story was good, I liked the fact that Aerosmith played the main song, but IMO there was WAY too much FX scenes (explosions)
