I really need to stop looking at WHM DD stuff when I haven't even finished my WHM's curing stuff or my PLD's stuff. I still have 61 things on my PLD's 'to get' list...

meh don't worry about it. i've been making perfect gear lists for my mages since the day i started playing. never have actually finished one too, something new always comes out etc etc.
I'm content with my WHM since I hit 50% cure potency. We're working on my AF3+2, and when it's done I'll make adjustments as necessary. I'm not going for any additional gear for it until then. (Though I added the club empy to my trial list for last.)
My PLD is really where I want to do things right. We've started on my path towards an Aegis. We'll start the Almace and Ochain trials soon. It is going to take a while though. Two things I've wanted since I started the game were Mjollnir and Aegis.
We also have two Empys (Kannagi / Twasthar) to finish for Sav (and some AF3+2) so we won't be focusing only on my char.
On a semi-related note: I just spent like 15 minutes swinging at the Fortalice with my sword skill capped. Derp.
