so like, I'm sure this internet error is only affecting my PC, the driver thing didn't fix it like I was thinking it would.
I'm running windows 7 x64 I've never had this problem before. My problem is: Every time I download large amounts of data (lets say for example... I was updating rift, which was a 9GB~ update) I would download fine for about oh ... 10 minutes or so (probably less) before my internet would completely seize up and cut off (meanwhile my wireless connection thing on my computer would say I was perfectly connected) and my whole computer would basically have the equivalent of a seizure (sluggish response and slow loading for certain things) can anyone figure out what and why this is happening? This is a fresh install if windows 7 (should be a legit install, it accepted my legit key) and the only things I have downloaded/installed are Opera, IM program (it's a well known one and I have been using it for years) and a few other needed things in order for me to be able to run everything. I've looked over and over on google and can't find anything and this is starting to baffle me since it's not affecting anything else that pulls from the wireless signal. i have similar problems every once and a while, usually just resetting the router fixes it for me
Writing is hard, writing WELL is even harder.

Bismarck.Josiahkf said: » try the exact same download plugged right into the modem. then you can eliminate sources as you go. might be your wireless card or something lol if only I could :x I've been meaning to get someone to go up in the attic and just stringing out some ethernet cord for me to just directly connect to the modem as it would really eliminate the hassle of this bs that's happening. as for plugging it in directly right now, that's ... well... hard to do since that would mean lugging my heavy as hell PC out to the modem and hooking it up out with the modem. or getting like a 100ft ethernet cord :| Gonna try one last ditch thing which is reinstalling the driver software on my wireless adapter thing that I have on my PC right now, the dumbass who was here the other day used some generic connect thing from cisco that "supports" it but I think it might be the whole problem (hopefully) if it's not then i'm really out of ideas, this is the third install of windows 7 i've done in the past few days that have all had this weird as hell problem. I look away to make people QQ due to my failures in WoE and I miss fisticuffs?! DL
