I finally decided to get a custom plate. Had to make a new plate frame. I love it, but sad you can't see it that well because of how far back the plate sits.

More if they dine on a diet of mushrooms.

Currently Im working in developing my Power BI skills

It is impressive how my skills are so diffuse, they are all over the place.

It doesnt have a coherence, a cohesion in what I can do.

Im literally the jack of all trades, but master of nothing.

Also, today is an important day to me.

We gonna ask the sellers if they will be able to sell the house or not.

It is important because, if I feel like the sellers are just trying to scam, I will simply cancel the contract and move on.

My plan if I end up deciding not continuing the purchase is to have a unpaid leave of work, and try to live somewhere else.

There is this charming small beach town I always thought it would be nice to live.

The problem is that it would be completely impossible to work at office living in that town.

It is a major decision because, despite taking a unpaid leave, mostly likely I will resign for good.

In theory, I could work as an outsource 100% remote. All our outsource team is remote. But then, back to the problem I have such a mess of hard skills that it would be hard to be hired for anything remotely decent in terms of money.

We will see.

I just saw that Netflix gonna release a brazilian movie called “Caramelo” (Caramel).

It feels like a strong candidate for best movie awards.

So, I watched this movie review and… it was not good in the end.

What is the problem? Well, the problem is that the caramel dog, despite being the most interesting character in the story… it is not the protagonist!

The movie starts with some nice scenes with the dog living his life, what is the peak in this movie, but then it focus solely om the actual protagonist, the guy over there, that just live a very mundane and uninteresting story.

It is funny how, without the dog, this serie would be just a random story with nothing different, nothing unique.

The movie only unique flavor is the dog, but he simply isnt that important to the story!

So in the end, they just used the dogs popularity to sell a generic story.

It is just a scam, in the end

Fishing trip was a huge success yesterday. Well worth the 2 grand. Started out at 5 AM and it took about an hour to get out there, which was fun all in itself. Early bite was great, caught 2 wahoo and 8 spanish mackerel. I kept both wahoo and 3 spanish, gave the rest to the Captain and First Mate.

Funny moment when the first fish hit and the mate was fixing one of the lines on the outrigger, which meant I grabbed the rod before he could get over there. The Captain gave him some grief over it but it was no big deal.

That bite slowed down a lot around 10 AM, but I was still good to fish. Fishing alone means you have to reel everything in on your own. I had brought some protein bars, an old school lunchable, and a 9 pack of Gatorade, so I was good. We switched over to bottom fishing and caught 2 grouper, 2 red snapper, and 2 cobia that were too small. It really sucked having to throw those cobia back but they were 22 and 24 inches and the minimum is 34. So they weren't even close. Out of that bunch I only kept 1 grouper, I don't like snapper at all.

The bite died again and that was it, we came in. Took almost 2 hours to get back, we ended up being 40 miles off the coast. Couldn't even see the skyline. Captain let me drive for a while, which was awesome. We all got along, I knew my way around a boat and talked about growing up there. How much its changed and how tough the recent years have been. He told me if I was still in town this next weekend he would give me $500 off.

Best vacation ever.

It was fun indeed.

Whenever you see a death battle you go, well Blade is in hundreds of comics, he's got more lore, and buffy is a tv show. And then they tell you shes been in thousands of comics and has 300 novels and you go, oh damn.

Next Deathbattle is DMC vs FF16 (hilarious)

Dante has dozens of comics, he's in a dozen games and a cartoon, Clive has 1 game and a prequel comic? Should be a stomp. and yet, Clive will still probably win because summons.

No idea when I'm gonna go back to work, but it's probably not gonna be anytime soon. I could charter another offshore trip, but at the same time, the cost of that would cover 4 inshore charters. I've been saving up for this vacation for years, still, maybe it would be better to take it easy on the expenses. Laying on the beach is free at least.

When a "journalist" tries to spin that something something tarnished a game that sold 30 million copies...

You know they're full of it.

She seems like a smart level headed woman.

Also Dodik, its 34 million copies, which seems like a good number for a single player offline game.

A talented writer nonetheless.

There are many other talented people who have problematical positions or beliefs. Roald Dahl for instance.

One must decide whether to enjoy their works despite the problematical parts or kick their whole body of work into the gutter because of them.

Dude.. I still haven't got through the entirety of Dune 1 without falling asleep.

Twice.

Does that make me a bad nerd? Idc.

Liked the 1984 original though.

I actually got through both Dune movies by convincing myself that Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard were actors worth watching.

On a similar note, I will continue to espouse the virtues of Foundation (TV Series).

Even with the changes made from the books.

The first movie has been described as the best and longest trailer ever.
