Talking about sights of FFXI much, I remember first time I read about JJK Nanami's technique.

As soon as he explained it, I thought:

"oh, then he has fulltime Mighty Strikes. That would be kinda broken in FFXI".

So glad I didn't buy Ivalice Chronicles, it plays so slow. NPCs take ages to think about what they're going to do. Prefer to play it on PSP emulator at 200%+ speed. Don't have time to waste on this.

How it's gone from 200mb to 8GB is ridiculous too.

You always have to pay on console if you want to play multiple player, it's not just Xbox.

As for single player games, just do the math.

If the amount of game price that you want to play next month > sub fee then use subscription services.

If you play less than don't use sub.

Whether it's appealing or not is entirely a math issue. You have to do the math yourself based on your own purchase habit.

Personally I only sub when I have more than one game that I want to play next month and those game price > sub fee. Then I unsub once I am done with those titles.

The whole point of sub is to save money from buying games and try games you normally wouldn't buy. Use it as a demo library basically.

As to why the highest tier price has to increase, I think doom dark ages is a good example. It's a 10hr game cost $70, so a lot of people just play on game pass day one instead of buying it. Then the game has low launch sale on Steam because of that. Any launch day sale loss for those $70 price game is money that MS has to pay for getting game pass sub.

Its appealing if you enjoy first party Microsoft games and indies. The problem is and always has been...top tier Microsoft games are very rare. The glory days of Halo, Gears and good COD are long over. So you are still going to have to pay full price for those big AAA titles that we listed a few pages back.

It really isn't slow because you can hold the R1 button for speed up. I like that it has trophies for PSN, usually gives me something to do with the games. I don't think its worth the price tag though, it is just a really lazy cash grab. I love FF games and FFT but they did it so lazily. The voice acting is cringe British, really forced to the point they even have the VA for Aerith doing a fake accent. Then they actually removed the coolest job from the game in DRK and when they had the chance to add online play in modern game era, they removed it... Just makes 0 sense. Preserving the original game isn't an excuse because they added things that weren't there before so.

I'm having a great time playing it. Worth every penny. You can just fast forward if you think it's too slow.
