Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Recently ive been recommended some troupe i wasnt aware of.
This “fix her” stuff. Idk, i dont like the sound of it Fixing her doesnt mean the same thing that happened to you when you were fixed.
For one, they dont have any nuts to chop off. Ok. This video explained it well
Its worrisome if a buttplug wants to screw you...
Preparation complete.
Time for the last Palworld fight and finish this. Holy damn....
Xenolord Ultra completely surpassed every single one of my expectations... It is way above what I thought he would be. Force brute wont work here. Gonna need to get back to my bench and redo my strat... Not gonna finish it tonight it seemms... what a let down... I would guess the maybe 50 years ago (+ or -) was the tip of the curve and now we are going down and down and getting worse and worse. Sh*ts getting grim asf.
People were happiest before all this tech that made things more complicated and annoying. As much as I like the internet, it's 100% a pandoras box with massive amounts of negatives for society and humanity in general. RadialArcana said: » People were happiest before all this tech that made things more complicated and annoying. 2, People are never happy with what they have. People are rarely happy with what they get once the fancy wrapping papper is off. Specifically the internet and social media, most people really are not able to deal with the kind of social interaction we have now on a daily basis, and barrages of useless information to argue about. We evolved to live in small communities, not have access to unlimited people and to be forever online and having your social media posts judged as most are these days (for those that use social media). Imagine getting fired over random stupid tweets you make, or someone taking a picture of you with your *** hanging out after a drunk night out and the world getting to laugh at it.
It's less of a problem for people who are used to dealing with it and keep some distance, but far too many people go all in on this crap and lose themselves. Anxiety, depression etc are all magnified by this constant online culture we have created. Many women seem to be affected the worst, and live their entire lives through the selfie camera and posting pictures all day. The insane amount of attention the masses of men online give them goes to their heads and drives them crazy. Normies getting access to the internet was not a good day, ***should have stayed with nerds and academics. Ecommerce is the only reason half of the amazing things we have available today are viable to produce on the scale they are produced. Today I felt kinda annoyed.
I ordered a product from a local Amazon-like vendor. More specifically, 4 of those products. Then I received it last weekend. But the packaging was danified, opened. And one of the 4 items was missing. Worse thing is that I dont know if who stole that item was the vendor delivery service, or someone from the building, as I normally dont collect the package right away. Annoying to feel insecure. That trust of a service is broken, and Im at a loss who is the culprit. More engagement = more money so you are really objecting to greed. They promised OPM would back the hell off by end of business, and sure enough, around 3 pm got another all caps email declaring victory. It's gonna be a stupid 4 years lol.
Was OPM ever actually acting like it would be enforced?
I just can't imagine the thought process behind thinking everyone in the federal gov't should send some itemized list of what they are working on to an email address. What an intelligence goldmine if some other nation state was able to get access. Asura.Iamaman said: » Was OPM ever actually acting like it would be enforced? What an intelligence goldmine if some other nation state was able to get access. I doubt it, especially since every bit of work that federal employees do is monitored already. They know what we did last week. They know everything I did today, it's on my production sheet. That said, I don't know how OPM was acting, this was a weekend shenanigan, and 99% of the workforce was at home. Oh I see Musk is saying we have a second chance to respond, or else we will be fired. That's just not how the world works, Elon.

I’m surprised he had a chance to send those emails while he was getting toe blasted by his boss. Too many government workers, they are costing too much, there is massive fraud with people having 2nd jobs etc due to WFH and this is causing labor shortages in the private sector. All negatives.
I know people have a massive positivity bias, but it's pretty obvious what's coming. Putting your head in the ground and ignoring an email, isn't gonna stop it happening. They have the power to layoff massive numbers of people who oppose them (and ignoring the emails is a wonderful self declaration what side you're on so they can make lists). They have the perfect people in place with Elon there (like him or not, he is the perfect guy there to do this stuff), to push a massive reduction in the workforce and bring AI in to cover any gaps. They can even pay the people who remain higher wages for more responsibility (or even bring them in from other nations, like India), and then empower them with AI tools to boost their productivity up massively. >Muh union tho, has never been weaker than right now. AI won't replace most jobs or people, it's just not that capable. It's good at some things but the capability of AI is more about perception than it is the realities of what it can and can't do. The scariest part of AI is not that it can actually do someones job, but that the perception is that it can and what's gonna happen is we're gonna end up with a bunch of broken ***no one can fix because they laid off the people who can.
I've worked in federal roles before and I agree there is a lot of waste, but I don't know that federal employees is the right place to start. The bigger issue IMO seems to be contractors who are put into place to maximize the # of people on a contract whether needed or not. My first contract had 4 people doing a job 1 person could have done and still had free time during the day, for instance. Most of us had literally no work to do unless we went out and found it ourselves. Most federal employees seem to be in a position that is needed and I'm not sure wide scale layoffs ever really work, even in the private sector, people who actually do work get laid off and people who suck get left in their jobs. It's just pulling plugs and assuming things will work out. The opposite is sometimes true, though. The local forest service district has on staff archaeologists and biologists to deal with NEPA requirements, but this seems to me like something more efficient to be contracted out. Then again, these people don't make much money and do it because they are passionate about the outdoors, so in the grand scheme I'm not sure it is really saving much. The power of AI isn't that it replaces people to do the job alone, it's that it empowers one person (or few) to do the job of many.
Government workers are the prime group to use AI with because it's bloated and the kind of work AI tools excel at, you can layoff 3/4 of the workforce, bring in specially coded AI tools to empower the 1/4 that are left. You save massive amounts of money, increase productivity and reduce the widespread fraud. Any teething problems, will be just that. Teething problems. If Elon wasn't involved it probably wouldn't happen, but he is and he has lots of people who are good at this stuff and even owns his own AI system that can be used for this purpose. It's fine to hate Elon, and I understand that the email is meaningless. That said, what have you done in the last week? If you're a productive person, making 5 bullet points should be easy and satisfying. Are you opposed to it just because it's Elon, or are you ineffective? I mean, it was basically a trap. If you wrote 5 things they didn't agree with they'd fire you anyway.
It was lose/lose. There is no need to provide a source (although google offers plenty), it's common sense people will always abuse systems they can abuse to make more money. If you're doing work from home (and you're unionized), you're already working way under your capabilities and so can easily do multiple jobs if you're not stupid. This has been a talking point they have brought up many times in the news too.
Also, if you have mass over staffing to government jobs and you have a set number of people in your population then obviously it's going to cause labor shortages everywhere else (that illegals and mass immigration fills). Those people who are laid off are not just going to go into status, and are going to need other jobs. When you're throwing out all those illegals and lowering mass immigration, it's a good idea to have a mass of nationals who are just put out of work and need a new one. They want to lay off huge numbers of people to lower government costs, Elon wants to usher in this new AI revolution, there is a worker shortage cause of the illegals being thrown out / falling birth rates and laying off millions of people will ready them up to fill the gaps. |
