Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Idk I've never found addons like yarnball, or whatever the Lua version of it is called, to be particularly intrusive myself. A little ugly, but an official implementation could be nicer looking.
Also, lads....
I just find that for every new item added to the UI, it takes away from the way I enjoy games, which is a sense of immersion. If I can pull it up to view it, fine. But if it's just always there blocking the scenery, I find it a nuisance.
Come to think of it, that might be one of the big reasons I couldn't get into other MMORPGs. I really, really like how the macro bar is hidden until I purposely bring it up. Even the menus are only there when you really need them. And while you're waiting to prime a spell or something, the menu goes away again. I know I'm in the minority, but that's definitely something I appreciate. I just saw that Hyundai is going ahead with production on their walking car.

I like the clunky, tanky feel of BattleMechs, but I also think they lean a little too far in that direction. Their limitations are too modern. Why put limbs on a tank if all it does is make it easier to topple? If you're going to give a tank a pair of legs, it should at least have a modicum of agility. BattleMechs can't climb up a small cliff or dodge incoming fire, so they'd honestly be better off with tank treads lol oh yeah, *** pvp
Um it's called an Alpha Strike IDIOT

It's rare for me to look at something like that and not roll my eyes at the video gamey limitations imposed on that kind of thing. Giving up some hard points to install extra ammo containers or heat sinks

Same. Altho i think the mug is too small and maybe cant microwave or dishwash

I even ate a bit too much of it, way more than what i needed. In recognition of this, we intend to review the most prominent tools, and in order to discourage their use, endeavor to enhance the functionality of the HUD. Though it will take some time, we're determined to make it happen─not least for the benefit of those who play on consoles. Though I'm also kinda torn on this, because I'm mostly OK with FFXI's user interface. I like how minimal it can be on the surface because all of the noise is hidden behind menus. The UI is one of those quality-of-life things that can get out of hand really quickly if the developers bend too much to the whim of players. Going back to the topic of mechs earlier in the page, I finally finished writing out the plot for my play-test game on Saturday. I'm using the one-shot as a means to test my game, show everyone a good time, and expand on the world I'm developing.
At the end of the game, the party (should) end up in an ancient ruin that's been sealed under rock and dust for at least tens of thousands of years. What I plan to gradually reveal to them as they pursue their target and investigate the ruins is that it was an old mech hangar from a war that wiped out civilization. They're going to walk into a long and tall room with 30-foot-tall "humanoid statues" along the walls. They're going to start hating me as a DM. Every game I've run so far I've had a stupid M. Night Shyamalan-style twist in the third act. But it's been a great way to have them learn the history of the world I've created for themselves rather than me just explaining everything. Plus it's a great lead-in to my next patch where I hope to start introducing higher levels of technology. Just like the last one led to this patch which includes magic :) i haven't received my invitation...
if they don't like it they can get a diff dm? you're supposed to have fun too. Asura.Carrotchan said: » Draylo said: » ![]() looks like play dough |
