Twitter was becoming a cesspool of far left extremism. Not a huge Elon fan but if it gets rid of those "cancelers" and heavy handed censoring then I'm all for the new boss.

I'm actually kinda convinced Twitter is one of the worst things in recent history to happen to humanity due to its small word count. It basically turned all communication into the equivalent of news headlines and made it so peoples' eyes glaze over when they read anything more than 140 characters long.

Yes, because far right extremism doesn't exist on social media, or Twitter for that matter. Nothing is going to change. If you are looking for a "free speech" platform, it's always been Twitter.

I think you're very much on point, but there has to be some reason that social media has accelerated our awfulness^^ Yes, one could say the problem is and always will be humans- but social media really does encourage the worst in us with little to no real ramifications on us. Compound that with the direction of the past 5 years of where we all live in echo chambers just reinforcing our limited beliefs, and I have to place more fault on the format of our arguing amongst ourselves than on humanity directly.
