Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Today is likely a pizza day. Again.

I'm about 6 hours into Ruined King, the RPG from RiotForge. I took a step back and realized how dang much I appreciate the gameplay. Combat is layered with complexity in a way that makes every option viable at every turn because they all contribute in a meaningful way.

Especially because even mundane fights are challenging and your HP and MP carry over between them, every turn feels super involved with weighing options and thinking about upcoming turns.

The strategy-heavy gameplay is right up my alley :D

Braum brings a bunch of poros along for the ride. His out-of-combat ability is to send one into crevasses to hunt for treasure, and a bunch of his abilities involve using the poros one way or another. I just unlocked an ability for him where he gives a poro a treat and kisses it, and in return it provides him a buff.

I am starting to think people will never just realize that not everyone deserves a platform for their crazy. You're allowed to have crazy thoughts and ideas- but that doesn't by any stretch guarantee you a platform for your crazy.

Nope. League of Legends has absolutely no story whatsoever. It used to, but they removed it and made the universe more of a meta idea. The universe and characters have cool stories that are being told through short stories online and in other media such as Arcane and Ruined King.

League of Legends has become more of a Smash Bros 64/Melee kind of game where it's just a place for characters to fight. The MOBA doesn't even have a story mode.

I pretty frequently say the MOBA itself is the worst part about League of Legends lol

I'm not really a big fan of Legends of Runeterra (the TCG) or Teamfight Tactics (the autobattler), but the people who do enjoy them are pretty devoted. Wild Rift (the mobile port of League) is even a better MOBA than League itself. And outside of games themselves, their cinematic and musical teams are all legendary. And they absolutely crushed it with their animated series Arcane.

i mostly just play arams anymore, but i think you need to have that need to compete and beat someone to enjoy league. if you just wanna play a game to chill and have fun... probably not the right game for you.

I've wanted them to add more PvE content for so long already. They haven't updated bots since Lucian's release. Most of the bots still operate on AI designed for their kits from 10 years ago, so Ryze Bot still thinks his Q is targeted, Rammus Bot runs head-first into towers, and Renekton just AFK's at fountain, among other things. And there's no variety because only a couple of champions per role in the first place.

Meanwhile, the bots in Wild Rift are smart enough to jungle, and every champion in the game has AI. Every other MOBA I've ever tried has the same features. You'd think League of Legends could figure it out.

And don't even get me started on their sorry excuse for a tutorial. They've finally updated it and it's actually even worse than when they told you to build Thornmail on Ashe.

Have you tried adhesive remover like GoofOff? Spray it, wait 10 minutes, and remove easily with a putty knife or something. Might not work on cardboard boxes. I like to get out the hair dryer and heat the sticker to loosen the adhesive so it comes off cleanly.

... Don't play LoL if you value your lively hood. Best description I've heard of it: it's a place for children of divorce to take out their anger on eachother. It can be super toxic. People flame eachother for nearly everything.

Truth.

I was super happy when RiotForge started announcing other projects. I liked the universe and characters, but it was all at conflict with a PvP-only game with a heavy reliance on teamwork that's just slow-paced enough to allow you to watch and criticize those teammates.

It fosters a terrible environment where players contextualize small snippets of their teammates' gameplay, usually their failures. And then things start getting vocal, and then you go on tilt. It's a nightmare.

Thankfully they have so many other things going on so you can enjoy the characters outside of that context...

Its too hot.... almost suffocating.

The sacrifice of Yoshi to keep you out of a pit. That's why you get a Blue Yoshi on the super hard star levels. That boy will fly you all the way to the moon.

I ship all of whatever is going on here.

Edit: Sorry for the double-post.It's been a bit since I've been around. My FFXI sub ended on the 3rd and I'm still trying to decide if I want to try to multi-box. I've been rocking alternative characters and I think I recall how fun multi-boxing was back in like the Abyssea era. Yeah. When I say I have over 50 characters. That isn't a joke. I have been trying to only play one at a time, but.... yeah. Once you get a second account going and can PL yourself. That's a bit more fun. I love my trusts, but they can't do the stuff I can do on BLU or BST or WHM. MMOs are an addiction. I have an addictive personality.

I think your luck is turning around. I have zero idea what an Andrew Jackson coin is.... but I have faith that it will work out. Worst case sceneio is that you get pizza. I know exactly what you like. Pineapples on pizza.

Oh my god. A broken foot is basically the worst. I hope you take care of that woman. My mom slipped and fell once and buster her tail bone so I can understand.

You guys remember when KITT got dropped into that pit of toxic sludge? That hit me hard as a kid, bro's. Even our hero's are vulnerable.

i keep coming up with suggestions on how to make league more accessible, but honestly i don't think i have it in me to push it on anyone. especially since i don't play it as much because of the direction they've gone. it's worth a try i guess.

I play it occasionally for rewards and stuff. Like when Arcane was running and you could unlock skins for free. The last couple of new champions have looked pretty neat as well. Zeri seems fun, and Glasc's character design is A-plus.

In other news, I tried a taco-style poutine today. It had all of the regular fixings, plus ground taco-flavoured beef, common veggies, and a side of salsa to eat with it. All in a tortilla shell bowl (like a taco salad). Probably the best poutine from the event I've ever had. I'd share the photo, but it doesn't do it justice. It was huge and fully-loaded.
