You realize that 90% of all Liberals are covered in COVID while 90% of Conservatives are not even experiencing COVID?

There’s a Divide due to where COVID exists & where COVID is nonexistent. So when COVID exists predominantly in overpopulated inner Cities of the USA where the vast majority of such population are all Liberals then obviously you’re talking from your own experience while 90% of the rest of the Natiom ain’t even fazed by COVID let alone catching such.

I’m not Liberal but I’m in the most densely populated State in the USA just outside NYC and it’s blatantly obvious why Conservatives couldn’t care less about COVID while Liberals always freak out over such. It’s the Demographics itself which apparently everyone is completely ignoring making such the biggest US vs THEM fiasco I ever seen.

It’s OK to view the Nation’s perspective of COVID from both sides while acknowledging the Demographics cuz we are NOT all walking in the same shoes atm.

It's definitely some level of carelessness. Example. Santa has some killer immunity from having 10 thousand germ factories on his lap but at the end of the day I didn't use to really think about that when he's breathing those 10,000 kids back on me while we do the packing up and pleasantries.

My sister got vaccinated twice & caught COVID. Her husband got the shot 3x and is the only in their family amongst them and their 3 daughters w/o COVID so apparently the vaccination does indeed work to some degree. My sister actually did get 3 shots too but caught COVID before taking the 3rd shot. Everyone is fine though including their children which is all that seriously matters.

Met a woman from East Orange cuz I’m doing UBER atm telling me she just got picked up from a funeral of a healthy athletic vegetarian who had 3 shots in his 30s that died anyways from COVID. She claimed she knew 30+ ppl w/ COVID while me I knew nobody w/ such until my immediate family caught it. I guess that’s just the way things are atm.

On an unrelated note, whoever invented Nutella can have my babies.

I'm constantly getting recommended XIV videos on youtube. It's like the universe wants to punish me.

Politics are a no go. I've no aversion to people discussing them or COVID, but y'all saw how fast it turned into a squabble.

That said, I do feel that with all that's going on, sometimes people need to vent some of that frustration. That's bound to touch on the realm of politics, given how deeply engrained they've been made with the internet being the king of information dissemination. (Eat my shorts, Legacy Media)

If you really want some political juiciness, I'd recommend watching your favorite speakers relating to them on Youtube. The older the better, at least in most cases.

Such as the profound Thomas Sowell. Trying searching up, "The Quest for Cosmic Justice."

Man, Pokemon Legends might end up being fun to play (Pokemon BotW with potentially more interesting content than BotW...) but I really, really wish Game Freak/TPC would be held more accountable for the quality/effort of their products.

Will never happen, they'll always make record sales numbers whenever they release anything ever, but I can dream.

What's worse is Asmongold videos. You search for anything WoW related and half your search query is his reaction videos. No matter how many times you click "Not interested" or "Do not recommend", he still pops up. Someone said now it happens with FFXIV. Filling people's search query with garbage videos makes alternative sites seem more appealing.

I wasn't on the site really for most of the last month. I ain't being paid to moderate, and only do it when I have the time.

I've missed all sorts of ***dude, so has Rooks, and so have all the other mods who barely show up.

It's basically at the point where if I rigidly enforced the rules whenever I'm on, a lot of regular posters would just disappear from bans.

Rooks probably needs to recruit some new mods, if only to have some fresh presence, if not for more active mods. I certainly can't and don't do it all.

To answer your question directly though, because I had the time to read through the reports and the posts related to it, this time.

The real solution is to ban the snitchers instead.

Sure it's fair to say that covid is more prevalent in high population dense areas and that these areas are generally associated with liberals (like New York). States like Texas and Florida have had surges in cases, but are predominantly conservative. Even though California is blue currently, it does have some pockets of die hard conservatives.

Again more assumptions followed by literally undoing your own argument. Regardless of the validity, without showing evidence to support your arguments they're misinformation. You contradicted your own thought process within your own post. Don't claim most of the people in inner cities are liberals and then chime in that you're not. There are other people that aren't liberals within those same inner cities. Of those constituents many may vote blue even though they hold some very conservative beliefs.


There aren't two sides here. There's a public health crisis. There's studies that dictate the best practices for survival during the crisis and people are just like how about we don't do that. Are you serious? The reason we've been so ineffective at combatting it is because of the lack of unity. You want to know what the two side really are? Humanity continues to exist vs Humanity dies off. That's the reality, yet people still think it's red vs blue.

Vaccines don't make you immune to the virus.
Vaccines don't kill the virus.
Vaccines make it so your body knows how to combat the virus when you contract is so you don't die. It's like a test run for your body to train it before the big game. Vaccines make it so you don't die or have to be put on a ventilator. People don't understand preemptive medicine. The purpose of the vaccine is so that when you inevitably contract covid, the symptoms will be mild like a cold. The reason we get vaccinated, is it's more cost effective for the population that it is to treat everyone with monoclonal antibodies or putting them on a ventilator. The reason we need a vaccine is because the virus is so different than previous illnesses that it has been able to completely trounce our immune system.

The reason the cold doesn't have a vaccine is because it hardcore mutates virtually every time it enters a new body. But that also means that catching it doesn't make you stronger against future cases. So whether you caught it every year or are now less exposed because of anti-Covid measures, it shouldn't make a difference on how hard it hits you next.

If anything, you might just feel worse because you've forgotten just how bad it was lol

I was just curious because I have 3 decades of moderation experience and yes, every forum is different and each has their own issues and yes, most are not paid but I've seen much worse than what you were referring to and despite reports, it remains which I know to some, can put moderator competency into question. And I do not say that a poke, so please do not misconstrue.

You are right, if the rules were enforced verbatim, half the forum would disappear. And many admins/mods are afraid to do that because they believe their community will disappear. In my experience, it actually helps them flourish as you no longer have to walk on eggshells or endure cliques/licensed trolls. Those who fall victim to the temp suspensions will learn quick. If not, they were really not that valuable to begin with. Someone who helps occasionally but loves to pick fights without repercussion is common and they believe themselves invincible.


That doesn't sound very hug-like.
