Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

(Spoiler tag because uncensored F-bombs in video). This is pretty neat, fan mod of survivor in third person.
YouTube Video Placeholder This guy always streams And some computer reads his comments, funny when it reads English YouTube Video Placeholder
Asura.Aeonova said: » I wish I had a girl's voice. I'd get a digital anime Vshojo girl avatar and start getting paid on twitch to be kawaii and just exist while simps throw money my way. UwU There is no way someone would use a voice changer to become an anime Vtuber waifu grrrl. No one with money to gain in the history of humanity has ever manipulated anyone online by faking their gender. I can't believe you would even entertain that notion.
[dot dot dot] I really can't believe the weird culture surrounding that stuff. Like, there's some kind of meta around the whole thing. I have no idea what it is, but I went for supper at a fancy restaurant with some acquaintances on the weekend, and they spent an hour just talking about VTuber agencies and acquisitions and stuff.
To each their own. I don't really care about who or what people simp for. What I found odd was how the conversations sounded more like how people discuss the stock market than celebrities. They're basically virtual jp/kr pop idols. The entire idol scheme is the closest thing to modern day slavery that we see outside of a third world country. Doesn't surprise me thst the virtual ones have similar contracts and backroom dealings.
Everyone involved (except the simps) are making money hand-over-fist as far as I can tell so it checks out.
It is a perfect storm of the world's oldest profession meeting lonely simps looking for ways to spend their money for validation from another human. Bonus modifier is that the performers don't even have to be attractive. At this point, I'm sure they have studied the ways to get people to spend more money and likely have it down to a science. From what I've seen, when a performer starts saying things like "you guys are making me cry (with how much you're giving them)" it triggers something in people to give them even more. Things like that. It's quite a study in sociology, manipulation, and marketing. I can see why your friends would have talked about it where it sounded like a stock market. They know exactly what they are doing. This: Equals: It's also nice that their costs are basically zero after initial starter build. The fan-art alone that they have got already could sustain them for years to come. Asura.Aeonova said: » Bonus modifier is that the performers don't even have to be attractive. Find someone with a charming voice, then just Boop-Oop-a-Doop them a perfect cartoon body. Et voila! People throwing hundreds of dollars just for the shot of a shout-out. I just realized that's no different from loot boxes. Overwatch comes immediately to mind. Come up with a sexy skin, have people throw hundreds of dollars at a time for a small chance of getting that short-term feel-good hormone, repeat. I'm sure it's no coincidence that the same people I just mentioned having dinner with are also people who've admitted to dropping thousands on Overwatch lootboxes... It's definitely a matter of catering to the weebs and exploiting a much less well-tapped corner of the market cause most of these girls (that we know of) are already attractive lol.

Expectation: Reality: I need to take a break from this topic. I accidentally fell into a Belle Delphine/Pokimane YouTube rabbit hole. Asura.Aeonova said: » Can't people just enjoy a normal dinner? CodeMiko or something tbf codemiko takes it to a level beyond what almost all of these other ones bother with. she has invested thousands of dollars developing her own rig and tech. When used for good, I think Vtubers are a really cool idea. I don't know if you've ever watched Takomunch (the person who uploads a lot of really good FFXI/XIV art on here) stream on Twitch, but they use a custom rig just to stay in character and it adds to the experience.

I was already nervous because I hadn't been in that dungeon and it was the highest level I have ever done. I wont do that ***again, I tells ya what. "They just kept yelling at me the whole time. I'm new to this [job/dungeon/game] and I'm trying my best" "God, my random filler tank was so bad. They were so slow and only aggroed like 3 things at a time. When I'm tank, I run in from start to finish and aggro the whole dungeon before I even stop to attack. I of course reported him. Scrub." wow some of these Amazon black friday deals are really good, they have a OLED TV I bought a few months ago for almost 800 less.
