90% of FFXV is driving a car.

Forget about the supercharger KN it doesn't do anything and thats a fairly high level dungeon.

It goes into story rush mode after the half way point for better or worse... In most peoples opinion it's the latter. I was sorta ok with it personally just because it nags me when the story talks like the end is imminent then you run around doing random ***for half again your play time. FF7 was probably the worst offender for me in this way, "meteor is going to hit in like 2 weeks or something" "Lets go raise 5 generations of chocobos for a gold chocobo! Look at that gestation period!"

(I'm not sure if gestation applies for eggs or not though)

There aren't even any merit stat restrictions anymore IIRC, since it rains merits like crazy, to the point that you use them for HTBF and Master Trials.

I played briefly in 2016 (after a 3-year break) to finish SoA and RoV, and possibly have some fun while I was at it. From what I saw, Job Points weren't a supplementary thing anymore, they were mandatory for anything higher than VD Ambuscade (and even in Ambu, you won't be doing it efficiently w/o enough JP). During the double CP campaign, I grinded 1200 JP on BLU for the gift, grinded some points on DRK (Drain III...I think) before I got extremely bored.

So yeah, I feel you.

Took about 10 hours to get through the first palace in P5, give or take. No complaints yet. Great game.

Its the only game I play, I'm no real geek/nerd/W/E. I dont get most references made on this website.
I've got ffxi when I was pregnant from my oldest son....which is 11 years ago now.
I've never really quit, aside of a month here and there. I always come back and I never do anything, I have the crappiest gear.
I never try new content and I dislike most of the people I meet on there.
I just enjoy grindy games in a very weird way, it sooths.

Its something thats easy to get in, immerses immediatly and doesnt put a goal in my face as soon I log on.

I dont need to finish anything persé. Something I do with pretty much everything, I never finish an anime, a book, or a game (aside of phantasy Star 3 and 4...oh and ff7).
Endings just always dissapoint.

Oh, and XI has boys, I like boys.

Edit: Just noticed that I'm always talking about "I". How selfcentric...

Yeah, I met some XI players who weren't into gaming and geek culture in general, but really loved FFXI.
