If we are gonna talk development then the Skin in Mobius is probably based off the more recent XIV then XI. Yes XIV is based off XI which is based off V but it is more detailed thus making it easier to use as a reference for a more current game.

Decided to try out the Steam version, surprisingly good. Can't recover/link my Mobile save so I'm starting over. What would be a good job to draw to start with? I read something about 2 or 3 jobs that can heal themselves, but can't find where I read that again. I think Dragoon was one of them. I'm considering resetting until I draw the job I want.
Seems like the only thing i get from sending my resume out are tons of spam texts and robot calls. -_-

Got Wedge. His Soma Drop has been pretty good for me.
Dancer or Dragoon would be the best 2 to start with, followed by Knight, Scholar, Paladin, or Assassin. Cloud (Soldier 1st Class) is also viable and is obtained by doing ability card pulls (since it's a new account I'd suggest either Greater Summons or 4* Summons for sure). You're likely rerolling anyway so can just reroll until you get Soldier 1st Class on the 1st Greater or 4* pull and then put the rest of your tickets into job card summons.
