Beginning of my memoir:

Sitting here in the sanctity of my room late on the night before this paper is due, I sit (well, recline really) upon my pillowy futon imagining how I want this memoir to start. Afraid to anger the creative writing gods, I find myself fiddling with the beginning, truly trying to find the exact words to truly encapsulate my reader's attention.
